Except Ron Paul got knocked out in the primaries (both times). He voted 3rd party (libertarian perhaps, but maybe green for all we know). Definitely seems to have libertarian views and probably supports Paul's positions. Snowden has said he "belived Obama" regarding ushering in a new era opposite of Bush's. He was, like most of us, disappointed and lied to. Such is the way of politics. Only the fools and sheep believe the promises.

Give Rand Paul a chance in 2016. Neither mainstream GOP nor democrat, he offers the promise of a government centered on individual liberty and responsibility - the basic concepts that this country was founded on.

His initial leak saying the program existed no one had a problem with. Since then hes been releasing more and more that has nothing to do with US citizens and might as well have just been a spy. This has nothing to do with US citizens anymore.

He forced the intelligence community to be accountable for the reason why this surveillance program is needed and lifted the veil on abuses under the program. The primary justification is preventing terrorist attacks. So far, they appear to have to come up empty-handed.
