Blame Cary. He has the power to edit the templates for the site, or insert code to prevent words longer than 52 characters* from being used in subject lines into the Phorum software, but he does neither.

*The longest word in the English language, barring an 18,000+ letter word for some protein, is "Aequeosalinocalcalinosetaceoaluminosocupreovitriolic", which is 52 characters long, and describes the waters of the spa at Bath, England.

They happen on Friday. Cary doesn't come back until Monday, sometimes Tuesday.
