Seriously for once. Who enjoys what they do? I can admit I'm good and my Level II Level III tech job and more importantly, I enjoy it. That has also made me a little complacent. A position is being created for me, so I will be taking a step forward, that I should have taken maybe 5 years ago. Still, some progress is better than no progress.

Do you enjoy what you do? I believe there actually are men/women here that do make a healthy living ($200k+). Even if you don't, do you enjoy what you do?

Mine's OK. I work for myself and I'm doing something that I enjoy and I have an equity interest in it. Even though I work more than I did working a regular job that makes a big difference versus working your ass off for somebody else's benefit.

My boss still is an asshole.

Horrible, horrible cubicle existence, which has to be sated daily with after work self medication, and a steady diet of old Korean whores.

I own three different companies. Love, love, love two of them. The third just makes me tons of money. But it's a royal pain in the ass.

GOVT worker making 75000. I am mailman and do alot of walking every day. The money is ok, benefits good. 100,000 would be great but all in all I stay in half decent shape and get paid fairly well.

Bullshit, a letter carrier does not make 75k a year. I used to be one.

I'm retired now but spent 35 years in telecom including 4 years
in the Army. No two days were ever the same and technology was
always changing for the better. I branched out into video conferencing
(fixed studio) and voice. (PBX management) As I climbed the career
ladder my job involved more people and writing skills so I had to
keep up there too. The only things I didn't like were budgeting and having
to take adverse actions against employees occasionally. The rest
was great. I've been retired for some time now and these days I get
a great laugh out of getting out of bed in the mornings whenever I
damned well feel like it and going wherever my nose leads me. Loved
my career but being retired and financially comfortable. BTW,
Obama sucks.

Now that I know what I know...Im glad I didnt make it big in the Hip Hop industry. Too much drama and I have kids. I still wouldnt mind ghost writing or selling 50k copies online :)

I work for the government and fill a much needed role but have huge amounts of free time on my hands at work. I have done so little for so long that I dont think I could work a real job ever again. I have to retire in a couple years and will really have too much free time then. I do lots of gaming and reading forums and blogs on my personal laptop and I do enjoy that. Oh and I LOVE Obama!

I'm happy with my job. I get to travel pretty often on the company dime and work from home the rest of the time. My only gripe is that I've never gotten a raise, but I do get nice quarterly bonuses and get to lurk here all day.
