Who Was Christopher Dorner?

His career as a police officer:

He graduated from the police academy in Feb. 2006, and spent four months as a rookie cop.

A naval reservist, he was called to active duty in July 2006, spending the next year in San Diego and Bahrain.

He returned to the police department in July 2007 and was assigned to training officer, Teresa Evans.

A month later, and coincidentally, the day after Dorner received an unsatisfactory probationary rating from Evans, he filed an abuse charge against her, claiming she'd kicked a schizophrenic resisting arrest during a disturbance at a hotel, TWO weeks prior.

The LAPD investigated his complaint and ruled it unfounded, based on accounts by three hotel employees present during the arrest.

The report recommended his dismissal, a process that was finalized after a hearing of the department's Board of Rights in January 2009.

He sued to have the decision reversed, but lost at the trial court and in a state appellate court.

His personal life:

Dorner was married in April 2007 to April Dorner. April divorced him three weeks later.

In 2006, Dorner, unsuccessfully requested a restraining order against Ariana Williams, a woman he dated for six weeks. He accused her of stalking him after she trashed him on the website, dontdatehimgirl.com, calling him "twisted" and "super paranoid".

He was one of those guys who like to pose around military and police equipment trying to pass himself off as the real deal.

I think he was always mentally ill, but the firing pushed him off the edge. Plenty of people have been fired from police forces, none write a manifesto declaring war on police officers.


He wanted to fight against racism, but he specifically targeted Asian police officers in his manifesto....go figure.

Not to mention the dispute over which manifesto is the "real" one. It was a cool story but no way was he making it out alive, I would have been half way across Equador by now if i was him.

I think the LAPD just has something against asians, period. The 2 women who were driving a different make/model and colored truck and shot up by the LAPD were also asian.

It's called revenege, she was collateral damage. He didn't feel he was represented fairly, he didn't have a family so he wanted to take out someone else's.
