What is your honest stance on illegal immigration?
Posted by: Just curious......... ()
Date: January 13, 2013 11:56AM

Should we be more PC and call them undocumented immigrants instead of illegal?

Should we give total amnesty to the 12 million undocumented hispanic immigrants?

What happens to the ones waiting in line for legal immigration to come to this country?

Are you in favor of giving undocumented immigrants in-state tuition and federal funds to attend college? Should affirmative action also apply to undocumented immigrants?

Should we be sending back the high-skilled legal immigrants from China, India, South Korea who bring back American education and enterpreneuralship to compete against us?

There's a 10-year waiting list for approval of family members of recently naturalized US citizens. A lot of the "illegals" are family members who gave up waiting and came into the country.

I am serious, I see those eastern bloc babes in the summer as lifeguards. I see the salvadorian women at Walmart with five kids in tow. Easy choice if I am being given one.

I will answer honestly. They should not be here period. Last time I went to Mexico I was told to provide the following:

Who I was traveling with
Where I was staying
How long I was staying
Purpose of my trip

I was further instructed that if I overstayed my visit I was subject to arrest. Also that I must carry my passport at all times and was to make it available to Mexican authorities upon demand and regardless of reason.

I dont see why we cannot ask the same. I can imagine the reception I would have been given if I demanded to be given food stamps, welfare and free housing.

NO. Undocumented immigrants implies that all they did was mess up the paperwork. If you don't like illegal aliens, how about unlawful residents.

> Should we give total amnesty to the 12 million
> undocumented hispanic immigrants?

NO. Certain groups should be allowed to be legalized though.

One of the reasons for my answer to the above question.

> Are you in favor of giving undocumented immigrants
> in-state tuition and federal funds to attend

If individual states wish to allow unlawful residents to get in-state tuition, they should be able to do so. If states did not want to do so, they should not be compelled to do so. Federal funds should not be used to pay the tuition of ANY STUDENTS, whether citizens or not, with the possible exception of residents of U.S. territories.

> Should affirmative action also apply to
> undocumented immigrants?

You are joking right? It is illegal to employ unlawful residents as well as certain classes of those legally in this country. You are actually going to subject an employer to criminal sanctions for FOLLOWING THE LAW?!?

> Should we be sending back the high-skilled legal
> immigrants from China, India, South Korea who
> bring back American education and
> enterpreneuralship to compete against us?

YES. Large numbers of immigrants do precisely that under the current system, and would likely do so even if immigration was liberalized. And why does their country of origin matter? Besides, if you are looking at the impact on the U.S. economy there is more of a case for letting in people to pick tomatos.

And yes all of those answers were serious.

So you don't care that they are human beings? undocumented immmigrants
are the reason why this country is so successful. the reason why this country
didnt belly flop from the recession. we are the reason the gdp of us is so high. without us, google and silicon valley would be nothing. without

if we are not going to enforce immigration laws then disband ICE and save us billions of dollars. As long as obama piles on the free stuff to illegals they will vote for him and his ilk, so I see nothing worth talking about.

That's all nice, but you seem to forget that this is their original
country. It's like giving the boot to every person in France, then force them
to risk their lives to reenter the country of their ancestors.

For the most part we aren't talking about descendants of the Iroquois, the Souix, the Nex Pierce, the Apaches or other peoples whom the evil Anglo-Americans drove out. We are talking about people whose ancestors were already south of the Gila and the Rio Bravo del Norte before Coumbus arrived in 1492. Sure many of them had ancestors here, but that was around 10,000 years ago, and they chose to move on.

Also remember that the concept of "by right of conquest" existed on both sides of the Atlantic. And there are plenty of people today whose ancestors were driven out of France, and who if they sought to return would have to jump through hoops. The Jews during the Middle Ages and the Huguenots under Henri II through Louis XIV for instance.

My history is rusty but wasn't California, Oregon, Texas, and Washington part of Mexico up intil 200 years ago? I guess you can throw in parts of states that constituted the Gadsden Purchase.

Yes we are, and the illegal ones are part of the reason why the waiting list is so long for people trying to do the right thing. More of them could be let in if the illegals werent playing frogger at the boarder.

Our whole enforcement system is basically set up to make it look like were doing something to stop it when we arent. Without internal enforcement nothing will change

From what I know, my people moved here in like 1905.

It's actually very inspiring... people who risk literally everything to make a better life for their family.

All I know is that Ukrainian and Moldavan women are some of the hardest working, compliant, and submissive workers I know. They don't mind spending their lives in a dark basement, sleeping five to a mattress, and being walked around on a leash.

They are very happy to be in America; five stars for immigration.

Stupid college aged liberal shit4brains are all for illegals overunning this country and giving them legal status. The beauty is that it's the mexican hordes that are taking the white kids college slots, taking their entry level jobs, taking their part time work. This country is being run by college aged potheads and ugly single women who only care about abortions hoping that they'll one day get laid. This country was built on immigrants. Without the flow of hispanics, all
your corporations would crumble and your education system would be in shambles. Be lucky that they are here.

How about this, you can have all the assault weapons (because a few of them kill people). In exchange, all the illegals have to leave the country (because a few of them kill people).

If you're going to ban high capacity magazines because they are used to kill kids, feel free to ban the illegals since some of them manage to rape, murder, and rob too.

That's boundary changes. What Yunnny is claiming is a "right of return", and he is claiming it based on occupancy which ended, probably voluntarily, over 500 years ago.

Of the four families I'm descended from, the oldest has been here since 1630. The newest has been here long enough that I'm at least a fourth-generation American. I can also claim, albeit tenuously, that my lineage goes back much further, as I'm 1/32 Crow.

The same bunch of crybaby liberals would shit a brick if someone dared to cut in front of them at Wegmans. Yet they see nothing wrong with someone entering the country illegally and demanding their rights.

I also bet they would shit an even bigger brick if those same illegals lived next door to them with three families in place driving down property values.

A U. S. Navy destroyer stops four Mexicans in a row boat rowing towards California .

The Captain gets on the loud- hailer and shouts, "Ahoy, small craft. Where are you headed?"

One of the Mexicans puts down his oar, stands up, and shouts, "We are invading the United States of America ! to reclaim the territory taken by the USA during the 1800's." The entire crew of the destroyer doubled-over in laughter. When the Captain is finally able to catch his breath, he gets back on the loud-hailer and asks, "Just the four of you?"

The same Mexican stands up again and shouts, "No, we're the last four. The rest are already there!"

So basically I see myself as to the right on a lot of issues and also to the left on plenty of issues... I guess I really am in the middle... but what I wanna know is, why are so many on the right so hateful? Like, in many of these discussions here, they go way beyond just policy ideas, you can see the utter hatred seething from the keyboard.

It's a big turn off Right wing.

There's a reason it's called "illegal".

See what happens if you try it in any Latino country, Germany, Russia, China, Japan, basically anywhere else in the world. You go to jail and/or get deported immediately. Why are people here so scared of following the rules?

I lived in Springfield nearly all my life but finally sold out. We never had any type of gang issues nor men loitering at the 7-11 molesting women. Now we do. I ask you what has changed to make it this way.

Both Republicans and Democrats contribute to more illegal immigration. Republicans promise jobs for all the aliens who can come in. Democrats promise permanent residency and its benefits.

Before it was addicted to cheap oil, this country was addicted to cheap labor. Now the addictions are comorbid.

The solution to our cheap labor addiction is simple. Since we're never going to kick the habit, institutionalize it.

The Thirteenth Amendment states that "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States". So, make entering this country illegally a Federal felony, punishable by 10 - 20 years at labor.

Once you've caught someone in this country illegally and secured a conviction, instead of putting them in prison, sell their labor to the highest bidder. Make them into bonded servants, and privatize the market for these servants.

Need 100 laborers to harvest your crop? Contact your local bonded labor agency, pay them a fee, and viola, you've got a hundred bodies. When the job's done, back to the agency they go.

I'm sure companies like Corrections Corporation of America, the GEO group, or Management and Training Corporation would be willing to enter this new market, which is really just the reestablishment of a very old one.

He does kind of have a point.

You claim the middle of the road yet only see hatred coming from the right.

I don't know what you mean by "support gay rights". Does someone have a right to be gay? Sure. Does any adult have a right to sleep with any other adult as long as it is consentual? Sure. That's none of my business. Should the government be involved in who gets married? Nope. Should the tax code encourage marriage? Nope. Is gay sex abnormal and/or any different than any other sexual deviation? Nope.

I notice you didn't answer the question, but rather, provided an ad hominem hateful attack. Like I thought, a typical lib.

If you are here illegally then you need to be deported!!!!!

NOW LETS SEE THIS IN REALITY............

NOTHING WILL BE DONE!!!! THE U.S. IS TO DAMN WEAK TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. TOO MANY BLEEDY HEARTS AND FUCKED UP ACTIVIST GROUPS WILL SEE IT THAT THEY BRING THIS CRACK DOWN ON ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION TO THE COURTS TO DELAY OR STOP ANY REAL ACTION THAT WOULD BE TAKEN. FOLKS, IT'S OVER, THE U.S. IS NOT THE U.S. IT ONCE WAS AND WILL NEVER BECOME THAT AGAIN. IN ORDER FOR THAT TO HAPPEN YOU WOULD NEED A REVOLUTION AND WE ALL KNOW THAT ISN'T GOING TO HAPPEN BECAUSE NOBODY WANTS TO DISRUPT THEIR LIVES TO DEFEND WHAT IS RIGHT.

Sorry if this sounds really negative but you all do know that that is the truth and the truth in this instance, IS A COMPLETE ASS RAPE FOR AMERICA!!!

I'm sure you'd say that if 12 mexicans busted into your abode and decided to start living there without your permission. Your post is a typical liberal perspective.....not based in reality, all about feelings and the road straight to hell all paved with feel-good nonsense. And always spending someone else's money to do it.
