Remember when The South was Southern?

You could get sweet tea in any type of restaurant , the waitresses would always smile and say "Y'all come back , now!"

There weren't any "Dunkin Donuts" just good 'ol Waffle Houses and Krispy Kremes.

There werent any "Starbucks", "Barnes and Nobles" just mom and pop stores. And you when you asked for something, they would smile and be polite , not give you a blank stare behind the counter.

A mans good word and a handshake was all you need, not a lawyer, and sea of litigation papers.

People knew their places. You could sit out in Monroe Park til 12 midnight and never worry about being robbed or mugged.

They had REAL Country music on the radio, not Bubblegum Shania Twained Pop.

Ah, the good old days

I wish they would bring 'em back.

If Richmond is so great then why are you posting on a Fairfax County board all the time?
