GOP-tards not handling election results well
Date: December 05, 2012 11:31AM

PPP's first post election national poll finds that GOP-tards are taking the results pretty hard...and also declining in numbers.

49% of GOP-tards nationally say they think that ACORN stole the election for President Obama. We found that 52% of GOP-tards thought that ACORN stole the 2008 election for Obama, so this is a modest decline, but perhaps smaller than might have been expected given that ACORN doesn't exist anymore.

Some GOP-tards are so unhappy with the outcome that they no longer care to be a part of the United States. 25% of GOP-tards say they would like their state to secede from the union compared to 56% who want to stay and 19% who aren't sure.

One reason that such a high percentage of GOP-tards are holding what could be seen as extreme views is that their numbers are declining. Our final poll before the election, which hit the final outcome almost on the head, found 39% of voters identifying themselves as Democrats and 37% as GOP-tards. Since the election we've seen a 5 point increase in Democratic identification to 44%, and a 5 point decrease in GOP-tards identification to 32%.

Other notes from our national poll:

-Grover Norquist is largely unknown nationally, and among voters who are familiar with him he is generally disliked. Only 15% have a favorable opinion of him to 37% with a negative one, with 48% not holding an opinion one way or the other. Even among GOP-tards just 18% see him positively, while 23% have an unfavorable view. Only 23% of voters think it's important for politicians to follow Norquist's tax pledge to 39% who think it's not important and 38% who don't have an opinion.

-President Obama's received a modest post election bump in his approval rating. 50% of voters now approve of him to 47% who disapprove, up a net 4 points from 48/49 on our final post election poll. Voters trust Obama over Congressional GOP-tards on the issue of Libya by a 48/45 margin, suggesting that their attacks on the issue aren't getting much traction.

-As much of an obsession as Bowles/Simpson can be for the DC pundit class, most Americans don't have an opinion about it. 23% support it, 16% oppose it, and 60% say they don't have a take one way or the other.

The 39% of Americans with an opinion about Bowles/Simpson is only slightly higher than the 25% with one about Panetta/Burns, a mythical Clinton Chief of Staff/former western GOP-tards Senator combo we conceived of to test how many people would say they had an opinion even about something that doesn't exist.

Bowles/Simpson does have bipartisan support from the small swath of Americans with an opinion about it. GOP-tards support it 26/18, Democrats favor it 21/14, and independents are for it by a 24/18 margin. Panetta/Burns doesn't fare as well with 8% support and 17% opposition.

-David Petraeus has a 44/30 favorability rating nationally and is seen much more favorably by Democrats (47/25) at this point GOP-tards (38/36).

This is understandable because the GOP's voter base is used to believing in thing that don't exsist.

It's hilarious to hear all the republicans making up all these excuses for losing the election. Even funnier is that they usual try to buy the election by giving away tax cuts and that didn't work.

So now republicans are trying saying democrats bought the election. How funny and ironic is that!

Most of these people believe in stuff like dinosaurs existing during biblical times, climate science is a global conspiracy against American interests, and that our president is an African tribesman who has allied himself with our Islamic enemies. The level of paranoia & ignorance created by Fox News and the Tea Party is breathtaking.

The funny part is that they also believe they're losing because they're "not conservative enough". They can't accept that America heard their message loud & clear and rejected it. Twice. Instead they think they need to turn up the volume even more.

Some of the things republicans believe are both funny and tragic.

Who knew Fox News viewers would be more susceptible to misinformation.

If you can't knock over a brick wall by smashing your head against it, that just means you aren't trying hard enough. You pussy.

Stop talking to yourself.

This country would be better off if you welfare blood suckers were euthanized.

What a waste of space you people are.

Just look at the liberals posting on this board.

Gays, bigots, pansies and freaks, all with their hands out.

So here's the truth about the system that'll fuck up your mind
They gave Al Queda 6 billion dollars in 1989 to 1992

And now the last chapters of Revelations are coming true
And I know a lot of people find it hard to swallow this
Because subliminal bigotry makes you hate my politics

But you act like America wouldn't destroy two buildings
In a country that was sponsoring bombs dropped on our children

I was watching the Towers, and though I wasn't the closest
I saw them crumble to the Earth like they was full of explosives
And they thought nobody noticed the news report that they did
About the bombs planted on the George Washington bridge
Four Non-Arabs arrested during the emergency

And then it disappeared from the news permanently
They dubbed a tape of Osama, and they said it was proof
"Jealous of our freedom," I can't believe you bought that excuse

Rockin a motherfucking flag don't make you a hero
Word to Ground Zero

The Devil crept into Heaven, God overslept on the 7th
The New World Order was born on September 11

Saying that the GOP is too conservative is a bit of an oversimplification. The GOP lost for a lot of reasons. The GOP failed to attract minorities, Latinos in particular. Latinos share many social values with the GOP. The GOP lost because of Paul Ryan. Romney's selecting Ryan was pandering to the Tea Party. Problem is, the majority of Americans don't belong to the Tea Party. Marco Rubio would've been a MUCH better choice.

Moving on, Mitt Romney was forced to run very far to the right to appease the Tea Party. The main Republican base (i.e. the reliable Republicans) is not centrist. There are some exceptions, myself included. There's the issue that Romney didn't actually develop any of his positions. 12 million new jobs are being created either way. Cracking down on China wouldn't do much at all. It's completely illogical to think tax cuts will help balance the budget. Admittedly, Obama's plan was just as vague, but people felt better about it... for some reason.

Also, people were frankly scared of Ryan's Medicare plan. Vouchers aren't a good idea. People reaching eligibility when vouchers are in place were terrified of it. It throws you to the mercy of insurance companies. If it increases with inflation, there's no savings. Ryan is right, this is the time for austerity. He's wrong as to how to fix the problem. Medicare can be better divided into a government program that acts like private insurance, or a voucher for a private option. Naturally, you'd have to pay Medicare if you wanted to stay on their program. The cost would be that of the second-cheapest private option.

Finally, the GOP was screwed by the two clowns: Todd Akin and Richard Mourdock. Their idiotic remarks led to the whole "War on Women" thing having credence, when it doesn't if you actually look at it.

It's overly simplistic to believe the GOP lost because it was overly conservative. The GOP lost because it proposed unpopular solutions to tough problems, failed to mobilize its Latino base, and allowed Obama to personally attack Romney while Romney attacked Obama on the issues. People vote with their hearts, not their heads.
