Susan Rice: Another 1% er (She's worth $30-44 MILLION??!!)
Posted by: y9K9n ()

"Rice has the highest net worth of executive branch members, with a fortune estimated between $24 to $44 million, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. "

Must be nice to be a country clubber like Mittens.

The irony of all the teabag whining about Obama being socialist is that he's really just Bush's third term, now fourth term soon to come.

On the opensecrets.org link above, click on "Assets" and it expands to show all of her holdings.

AES, Carrefour, Bank of America, Banco Santander, Boeing, BP, Bristol-Meyers Squibb, Fluor, Monsanto, Imperial Oil, Wynn Resorts, Pfizer, among others.

Some would say well diversified, others would want to know how she got those shares.

Wonder if MSNBC will ever report that.

It would be more revealing to compare net worth of everyone BEFORE and AFTER their tenure in government.

But... but... but 7 out of the top 10 are Democrats. How can that be??? lol

Go look at Al Gore's if you want to see some money. If he's still behind Romney, then it's not by much.

Jane Harman has not been in congress for several years. I believe she and Pelosi did not play well together and harman got squeezed out

Is Darrell Issa the person who pushed the legislation that has contributed a great deal to the current debacle the Post office is in? Prepaying health benefits to the tune of billions and billions.
Does he own UPS or FedEx stock or a way to privatize a pseudo government agency?

I bet Gore has lost a ton of money with his failed tv channel "Current TV"?

Did Gore buy companies with plans to sell off the bits and pieces to make a ton of money and leave thousands of American's without jobs?

But someone like you couldn't be bothered to notice.

knee jerk

And Herb Kohl chose not run again instead an angry lesbian who's probably not rich took his place. go figure

Yeah, but it wasn't "prepaying" pensions, it was "prefunding" the pension plan, or some would say "adequately funding". The Post Office was doing the exact same thing that the airline and auto companies continue to do, which is make big promises on pensions which they underfunded by 30% so there weren't enough funds to pay the pensions, creating a perpetual financial crisis in the pension system. And since the Post Office pension plan is backed by taxpayers' money, Congress finally forced the Post Office to pony up adequate funding to ensure they could fulfill their promise.

Yeah but you are advocating we cut the pensions of all the illegals who got jobs at the post office over the last 20 years? that wouldn't be right

Yes I know the size of the pension plans was not realistic but to destroy the post office is not a good thing imo. I still don't trust this internet. icu2

Nope, I'm not advocating anything. I just wrote what happened. I don't care about Post Office pensions one way or the other. IMO, the Post Office is quickly outliving it's usefullness and, like whip and buggy shops 100 years ago, needs to start figuring out their wind down plan.
