Ricks, who has written extensively on the American military, called the Fox an “operating as a wing of Republican Party” that “hyped” the Benghazi attack as a faux-scandal.

During the interview, which lasted only a minute and 45 seconds, Ricks responded to a loaded question with a remark that surprised the anchor:

Hardly a smackdown, but he made some very good points that the anchor couldn't respond to.

He's right. Our embassies were attacked about a half dozen times under Bush and 10 times as many killed, yet he seems to get a "pass" for that. This Bengazi story is only a story because of partisan politics.

Hell most people don't even know what embassy Marine guards are even for!

It should be a bigger story for the obvious working relationship between the US intelligence and the Muslim terrorist groups. Too bad the mainstream doesn't go into any depth on the covert war waged by the US and NATO. I find more coverage in the foreign papers and liberal news sites such as truth-out.
