We have an unemployment of 7.9% right? Do you know that most of the remaining high unemployment comes from layoffs of government positions at state and local levels? Those were the very kinds of things Obama was driving to provide short term backing for so that jurisdictions wouldnt go in default on bonds.

If you remove the government firings from the last 2 years the unemployment rate would be 5.5%

Let's hope the number one priority of the republican party isn't now to deny the unknown democratic candidate of 2016 from a first term.
