That sucks for the families of the two officers.

However, you have a distorted sense of cause and effect if you think they were "Killed in Crash Because Boy Ran Away From Scolding Mother".

They were killed in a crash because the helicopter clipped power lines while searching for a boy who ran away from his scolding mother.

They take that risk every time they respond to any call, and I'm sure they were very aware of those risks.

Nope. Fail. If that kid doesn't run away, then the chopper isn't put in the air to find him. Remember when kids used to do bad shit and then went home and got the ever living snot slapped out of them? And we didn't fear it. It was like, "Ok, fellas...well, I've done my share of bad shit today. I'm going home now for my beating and some dinner. I'll see you at the bus stop tomorrow morning!"

Scolding? Fucking scolding? We talkin' 'bout scolding? Kids today don't know what punishment is and now two good cops are dead. Scolding...

Send a helicopter out for a kid that just ran away. Now the helicopter is permenemtly grounded from wasting tax payers money.

@Kid causes crash!: Fail. That kid can't cause a helicopter to crash...you know why? Because he's at home...where he's supposed to be...not running away from home because Mommy scolded him for refusing to go ass-to-mouth on Daddy's nine-iron after he pulled it out of the kids ass.

Cops, Fire Fighters, Soldiers, etc. are paid to put their lives on the line.

It's their job.

Sometimes they lose their lives while doing their jobs.

It sucks, but it's the life (and death) that they choose.

Clearly Chopper Dan is every plaintiff lawyer's dream juror. The number of factors that have to come together in order to cause this accident are huge, the number under the control of the kid are minor, and the kid had no control over the last events which were the most immediate cause of the tragedy.

I rang my fatfuck neighbor's door bell. He got up from his barcalounger to answer the door, and fell right over.

It had nothing to do with his weight, diet, or anything else. I caused his heart attack.
