Can any of you explain how raising defense spending and cutting taxes will help the budget deficit?

Dick Cheney said that deficits don't matter and they really don't -- until you eventually have to pay them back with interest. But truthfully, money is created through making loans anyway so what's the difference if they are given to the private sector or to the federal government?
Romney changes his positions because he is a salesman. He doesn't care what he has to say to get you into that new car. Republicans like their "free stuff" just as much as the Democrats so the increase in defense spending is just part of that promise.

So spending trillions on useless nation building wars is a more sensible use of taxpayer money than building infrastructure?
Unemployment never hit 10%. The country was on the verge of a depression when he took over. It's not going to go down on the day he got sworn in. Anyone who took a college level economics class on the great depression knows the cause of it was the government did nothing once it started. That's the reason for the stimulus. A lot of road and bridge work was done around here.
I want the health care - not for me - but I'm allowed to keep my daughter on my policy till 27. Also like the pre-existing condition rules. I work with people who have children that were born with lifelong health abnormalities.
Half the country is not on food stamps.
