Mets Meet Their Match

So the Mets fire Willy Randolph and hired this dude???

"Angry Mets manager Jerry Manuel ripped Shea Stadium fans yesterday, comparing them to cow manure for booing beleaguered reliever Aaron Heilman.

Adding to his fast-developing reputation for making outrageous comments, the Mets' interim boss said Heilman and his teammates would flourish in the "fertilizer" left behind by the Amazin's booing fans."

The Mets have to be one of the most poorly run organizations in sports (okay, behind the Redskins and possibly the Nationals). They fire Randolph in a hotel at 3am and then hire this guy.

One does have to seriously question what the hell is going on... fire randolph, fine, but don't act like he's the entire problem when you are willing to replace him with a known quantity of shit...

I don't agree (yet) that the Nats are poorly run. Most of the good players they traded have not done jack, and they are actually playing better than preseason predictions and in-season indexes indicated...

Now if the Lerners don't take all the new profits and buy a better team next year, then fuck them and their shady team.

BTW Genevieve and I have an extra skybox tik for the Nats this sunday Wash, you should share your opinions in person. Our company also provides field-side seats that we can utilize, and we were close enough to talk to Nats players last time.

I had a friend who said he would go but he's still on the fence so the tik may be up for grabs...
