Being poor in caste system where people are not able to move freely up and down the economic classes by virtue of labor because of a top authoritarian governing system is very different from someone in a free market capitalist system who voluntarily disengages from the labor market because they drop out of school in high school, use drugs, and cant show up to a low skill job on time or consistently.

Yes, Cuba and the old Soviet Union have "free" health care. They are all quite the Christians. Typical liberal babbling droolers. Thinking that God is for high taxes and huge government programs. The Catholic Church has now replaced personal charity, and to some extent, even Church charity with taxing the rich to pay for social engineering programs. "But St. Peter, I was for higher taxes on other people, why won't you let me in?"

And all those countries either live under the US security umbrella, are 2nd world countries and/or have pathetic economies. I'm not against universal health care if and when this country can afford the $2 Trillion a year it's going to cost. Right now, there's no way we can afford it

And what's your purty map have to do with universal health care and Christianity, the whole point of this thread?

What good is universal health care coverage if access sucks? Particulary if you are elderly?

The funny thing is, all those countries are free loading off of the USA. They get cheaper prescription drugs by forcing drug companies to meet maximum pricing schemes or they the countries will block ALL sales of the drug within their country (because they are, in fact, the only consumer).

So the drug companies lower their prices and jack up the prices in the US market to make up the difference. Those days are ending soon....

The US Military Heath System, Tricare, and the Veterans Health System, combine and bundle their prescription and medical supply orders together to drive prices into the toilet - paying pennies on the dollar.

Canada and other socialized medical systems do the same.

Regular Americans can't, by law, do that. And they essentially subsidize the rest of the world's cheaper pharmaceutical and medical supply costs by paying exorbitant costs.
