And you're still falling for the same political BS.
For all practical purposes, it is effectively the same from the perspective of the idiotic "invest in Amurica" bs. As are Obama's holdings in a fund that specifically targets foreign investment vehicles. Neither represents a particularly valid argument in the scheme of things given real-world money flow and both were likely done for practical purposes as part of an overall investment strategy, but if you're going to criticize one on that basis, then it applies to both.
It is not the same in terms of the specific structure of the accounts. The implication being that they are somehow "secret" or tax-advantaged.
So here's your homework assignment - Go look up the specifics of the "secret offshore Swiss bank account" that he has (actually it was his wife's trust I believe) and come back and report the details. Very easy to find if you take the time to look.
The fact that the reason that you know about it at all is that it was disclosed by the trustee and the type of account would seem to be kind of a tip-offs that it wasn't a super-secret "Swiss bank account." And the fact that it was reported on his tax return kind of blows the tax haven theory. But don't let facts stop you from continuing to promote campaign memes.
