Bloomberg limits soda sizes in NYC and kids rejecting 'healthy' foods in schools. What do you think if gov't roles in food regulation?

Discuss.

The government does have a role in preventing unsafe food or drink from entering the market. Furthermore, they have a duty in vetting additives and artificial sweeteners. They do that job really poorly. E.G.: Prosilac.

The government CANNOT and SHOULD NOT limit the size soda you buy, nor should it bitch that kids are rejecting healthful foods when it doesn't make any regulation regarding what can and cannot be marketed to kids.

His stance is that the gov't is paying larger amount,s for instance, increased seating sizes on buses, subways, etc. also medical costs due to heart disease, diabetes, etc.
