Leesburg seeks public input on turn lane on Edwards Ferry Road

The Town of Leesburg’s Capital Projects Management Department is seeking public comment on the proposed addition of a right-turn lane on Edwards Ferry Road at the Route 15 Bypass. The project, according to the town, is to help relieve traffic congestion at the intersection.
For more information on the project, people should contact Anne Geiger, the project manager, at 703-771-2742 or ageiger@leesburgva.gov.
If citizens during the public input period are not satisfied, they can request the town hold a public hearing before the Leesburg Town Council. All requests for public hearings must be submitted to Ms. Anne Geiger, P.E., at Town of Leesburg, 25 W. Market St., Leesburg, VA 20175 by Sept. 2.

Newsflash!!! According to the legal ad in the latest LTM…the town is considering make this a TWO LANE right turn. Problem with that is everyone that wants to turn right and then make a left to the outlet mall will clog up the intersection and you just know there’s going to be some crazy lane changing going on. NOT a good idea at all.
