Don's shell next to einstiens bro's bagels, off old keene mill rd and rolling rd is now doing vehicle state and emissions inspections! I Saw a line at cardinal shell and the exxon, decided to stop into don's shell after seeing a big red sign out front and sure enough, the inspector was sitting around doing nothing. The guy mike up front said they just started doing inspections so tell everyone this way people will start coming there instead of waiting in huge long lines, so I thought Id post it on here to let others know. Also, thier hours at the moment are from 8-5mon-fri and saturdays from 8-1 or 2pm something along those lines. Check them out

Hey ya'll, I thought it was extremely funny so I had to post here. I read this post a few weeks ago and just now decided to go get my car inspected. I drove by cardinal shell and the sunoco station and both had a long line of 10 cars, well one had 10 and one had 9. I stopped by this dons shell place, the inspector was very nice and I GOT RIGHT IN! He had no wait and was just waiting to do something. I find it very funny that sooo many people will sit in a long line for inspection in this coridor/area and choose to sit in a longer line. Maybe its just me, but Im glad I went there. I was in and out in less than 20min. So I dont want to hear any complaining or Bullshit about loyal customers or any other excuses. Dont take my word for it, Im done!

This shell station sucks! If you want an honest place to get your car worked on, go to cardinal plaza shell. There must be a reason why they just started doing inspections and the manager there was a huge dick! He didn't want to help me fix my car and told me it would be 3hrs before my oil change would get done. This is why your business will fail suckers!!!!!! Gotta be a reason why ya dont have no line but yet cardinal plaza always has a line. Maybe BETTER CS.....dumbass

Did you know that if you present a coupon or have a 10% off for military discount, they don't take the money off the house end, but on the mechanics end? Did you also know that the owners very cheap and won't spend money of advertisements? I wouldn't stop to buy gas from this location. But then again, I live in ashburn. I spoke to a tech the other night from the exxon across the street and he was suprised they still even do inspections b/c the owner seems to be a real jerk! After reading all these posts, Im in agreeness.

I've had numerous problems even buying gas here. It's one of the worst gas stations I've ever been to. Fortunately, there are two other stations just across the street that are much better. Take your $ and your business to them.

The comment that Cardinal Plaza Shell is a great place is totally wrong.

I have had bad experiences with this place. One time they quoted a price on a job only to have the price go up by over 100$ when it was time to pick up the car. Also during that same job they broke a bolt on my tire and did not tell me about this, I only found out that week when getting my tires rotated at Costco, they told me about this and I took it back to have it fixed at the Shell. All they did was cut the bolt shorter and put the lug-nut back on. Brought back to Costco to complete the tire rotation, they said this was a quick fix and not the way it should be done. After that I just left it as is, I wasn't about the go bring my car back to a place like that.

I have to agree with some of the above posters. I took my car in august 2011 to get an inspection done. The owner was one rude SOB. The inspector was very nice but the owner acted like a jackass better than everyone and being a smartass. Then against my better judgement I took my car to get a headlight replaced decmber 2011 to the same shell. Only reason being it was close to the house and figured it would be quick. Sure enough same jackass owner working there. Same BS and attitude and then he gives me a hard time about the light and just being a dick. This guy needs an attitude adjustment and will never take my car there again for service and have told my friends to avoid as well. Learn some customer service fuckjob as you are not the worlds gift to automotive service also spend money to advertise you cheap fuck!

I doubt the owner was actually working in the station, he's probably sitting at home collecting boat loads of money. This is not the only gas station his family owns and operates in this area.

If you need a repair I'd go to KC Automotive over off Burke Rd. across from the 7-11. I've used them for years and been happy with their work and prices.

KC Auto is owned by the father of Don's grandchildren. I doubt Don cares anymore, he has enough money to not have to worry for the rest of his life and probably for the rest of his grandchildrens lives as well. I've never met the guy but I can see where he would think he is better than everyone else. I think that runs in the family.

Oh, believe me, Don's Shell sucks! While my father takes his care there for inspections/oil changes, the one time I was having trouble w/my car, I took it there. Told them what the problem was, and the next day said they couldn't find anything (typical lol). I picked it up and the kid there, who had 3 of his friends hanging out w/him, said there was no charge. A day later I get a call from the owner that the 'kid' said I refused to pay the normal 'find out what's wrong fee.' I told him that was a flat out lie, and I'd be willing to take a check up there immediately. He said don't worry about it. But I NEVER WENT BACK.

Seriously---go somewhere else w/better customer service!

Don's Shell used to be good. It ceased providing good service about 10 years ago.

I'll never go back.
