I need a replacement wheel cover
Posted by: Yeehaw ()

I need to replace a missing wheel cover (hub cap). Does anyone know of a salvage yard in the area that I can check, or a place to get a cheap replacement?

Thanks.

Thanks - I don't know for sure, but for some reason I don't think Hub Cap Heaven is any bargain. I think I tried to use them a few years back.. I'll check it out though.

It's for a Mitsubishi Gallant.

Have you tried EBAY or Craigslist? I've been able to find nearly everything I need/want there. Another option is freecycle.org.

I've suggested some of these before but some people seem to think I'm being facetious - not sure why.

Good luck.

Yeah, I've tried EBAY .. not Craigslist though. I'll check it out.

The covers on EBAY are either reproduction (they don't look the same), or, what I think, more expensive than it's worth.

Hubcap Heaven wants $40 for the thing.... I think it's worth $15 or $20.. I guess I'm cheap.

hubcap heaven is kinda shady and their deals do kinda suck, but hey, you should have mentioned you knew about it. Why not just do it the old fashioned way, go to a mall parking lot and "shop" for so,e hubcaps there? Unless, and perhaps even if, your car is crap, you should be able to find something there.

what's up with all the omissions when people ask for advice? if you say what you already know we'll probably suggest something else.

RESton Peace, by the way, I also called the dealership to see if they can provide me with a hub cap. I guess I should have mentioned that too.

Also, I forgot to mention that you're a douche bag.

Go to pep boys and buy a set of four for like $20 and replace them all.

I think someone else had a clear point, what kind of white trash uses hubcaps anymore? Join the rest of society that has rims, they don't have to spin and don't have to be fancy, but you'll never have to replace them unless you drive like a complete dope.

But I'm saying this to someone who is probably driving a POS from 1985, given the best insult you can dish is also from that year..

You should check this site: www.partstrain.com
I've gotten a couple things for my car off this site. The prices are pretty reasonable too.

There's a guy in Lorton, VA who collects hubcaps and I think he also sells'em. The exit 163 from I-95 and turn right, after the 1st signal you'll the "hubcaps for sale" sign on your left.

Current content on this site is just as helpful as 8 year old content. Can you really tell the difference?

Huge difference. First and foremost, there were no racial slurs.

Get some plastic spinners from Kmart. Always classy.
