Gigantic BOOM in Centreville?

Did anyone just heard a HUGE KaBOOOOM sound (almost sounded like an explosion or similar to what a cannon would sound like). Happened around 11:50PM.

Just trying to figure out WTF that was.

Very interesting...we are in Shenandoah County, and today (August 12)
around 12:55 p.m.we had a mysterious "boom" that shook the whole house.
(The windows rattled). Trying to find something posted about it, to no
avail.

My family believes you, trust me. Some people (those who replied
before me) can be soooooo unhelpful.

NOT thunder, we are NOT idiots, and happen to know what thunder
sounds like.

The sound was an illegal hispanic family of 20 moving into a one bedroom apt. BOOM! goes they dynamite.

Last night in Fairfax we had the same sound twice around 2 am could not find any information. I have heard these sounds in the day time a month after the earthquake and the news reported it was explosive training at Quantico.

Potomac Mills and the stores around it will actually shake from the explosives at Quantico. Very fun if you're down that area and not expecting it ;)
