Obama getting desperate with current ads
Posted by: CmonPlease ()

Obama is getting desperate with his latest ads. In the one below he tries to blame Romney for the death of a Steelworkers wife because Bain Capital closed the Steel plant down.

The problem with the ad is it is a complete lie. When you do some basic investigating you find that Romney was not even with Bain Capital when the plant was shut down. You find that the woman had insurance when the plant was shut down through her job.

As we keep peeling back the onion we keep finding lies about this ad. The unbelievable thing is that Obama keeps supporting this outrageous lie. How low will Obama go to try and get re-elected. Pile this on top of the Harry Reid lie on the Senate floor about Romneys taxes and you can smell the Desperation.

Obamas problem is we now have alternative methods of getting our information and we now know the ad is a lie within hours of the ad being broadcast. Even the liberal mainstream media is uncovering the lies associated with this ad.

I was shocked to see CNN was the first to expose obamas lie on this one. It was easily exposed as a lie but obama felt confident enough with his media relationships that it would be accepted as the truth.

^^

OP may be stupid, but that doesn't the mean the ad isn't complete bullshit.

Let's see if we can create a timeline to connect Romney with this woman, shall we?

1 - Romney not with Bain when...
2 - ...Bain capital takes over steel mill.
3 - When Bain closes steel mill...
4 - ...guy's wife has job (with her own insurance even!), but...
5 - ...six or so years after the plant closes, she dies from cancer.

How exactly are they related again? Oh yeah, they're not. It's specious at best.

The ad is not sponsored by Obama

No, but the leader of the PAC that put out the ad is very closely related to Obama campaign. It is Bill Burton, the former asst. Press Secretary.

This a.m. on Morning Joe, Robert Gibbs who IS running the Obama campaign along with David Axlerod, refused to condemn the ad.

This is particularly "dirty pool".

It makes me wonder if Obama internal polls are showing this race to be closer than we think. But then, Obama has a history of beating his opponents through sleazy campaigns and questionable methods: getting "sealed" divorce documents of his opponents, etc. And, never coming up with a good explanation of why convicted felon-and currently incarcerated- Tony Rezko helped him buy his Hyde Park house--buying the lot next door because it was a "package deal" and then deeding part of the lot to Obama which left Rezko's lot valueless. Media ran this story in the last campaign but never really hyped it.

The finances of our country are a mess. Raising taxes on the wealthy, while it may make the class warriors feel better, is not going to help our economy. We must cut spending and get rid of programs that make no sense. I don't know if Romney can fix it--but he has a better track record than Obama.

The idea is to keep Bain Capital in the headlines. Republicans are eating it up by posting on every board that "Bain Capital" etc...

Everyday Bain Capital is in the news Obama gets more votes. Has nothing to do with this woman.

+1

It's yet another shiny thing put forth by the Dems to keep the public's attention off the real issues that the Dems don't want us to focus on. It's just like not releasing Obama's birth certificate and then, when he finally does, he releases a copy that shows PS layering. Sure, it's probably a copy of the real one, but by adding the layering, it doesn't kill the conspiracy.

Another example is when.... hey a squirrel!

Obama will reach un heard of lows as he loses his crawl for re election! The race is dead even right now with Romney not able to unleash his ads till after the Convention.

Romney will get his usual bumps from his naming his VP mate and Convention and then bombard the critical states with his ads. Obama will respond with more negative ads because he has NOTHING to bring to the table. He cannot win by telling his plan for America, he will try and smear Romney with whatever shit he can try and find.

You're delusional. Nobody other than Dem partisans who bought into the 99% crap give a shit about Bain. Everyone else sees a successful business guy versus a social activist who has no clue how to run the economy. But keep working that line. It's a winner. Really. lol

Of course, the race is much closer and internal polls are showing it to be that way. People are lying to the pollers because they don't want to be called as racist if they say that their voting for Romney. Keep up the good work.

Obama is a bottom-feeder, and only those who are also bottom-feeders will vote for him...again. It shows how ignorant Americans have become to actually consider voting him in for a second term.

Obama promised transparency, honesty, and to not resort to "Washington style attacks" as an "agent of change." Interesting. Now he's gone a complete 180 degree, almost turned into a politically schizophrenic showing his true colors, and these ads are all that he has.

He has no record to run on. Nada, zip. The economy is in shambles, much of which he is directly responsible for. Eventually all of these negative ads, which all there are from him with the exception that one little happy snippet, are going to backfire. And it will be his fault too, as he will be voted out of office come November.

Take it for what it's worth because the poll was done by CNN but the negative ads are affecting Romney's image, especially with independents.

Typical politicking though - if you are having trouble with your own record, trash the other guy to the point that he looks like a worse option than the status quo.

It is received wisdom among conservatives that "government isn't the solution, government is the problem" (see the Gospel According to Reagan). Today, I saw a car with several bumper stickers that left little doubt as to the driver's political proclivities. My favorite was "Big Government = Big Problem".

Given that you are the professed party of small, limited government, it is intellectually dishonest of you to criticize Obama for his "management" of the economy. Rather, you should criticize the fact that he makes any effort to influence it at all. I would think that an honest Romney would state "I have no plans to run the economy, period. We Republicans believe in laissez faire capitalism. The government will pay for a modest defense and fund an interstate road system, but that's it. We'll have no foreign entanglements, including with Israel. That's my policy and position. Private business will, or will not, address everything else. I'll just be like George W, and do folksy things as President that he doesn't do anymore".

Until I hear that, you are just the party of self-delusional hypocrites, who talk a good story but in reality are just as, if not more so, eager to suck the teet of government, at every level.

The only intellectually consistent one of you is Ron Paul, and you excoriated him. Come to think of it, Romney wasn't your "beloved" either during the primaries. He is where he is because he was the last man standing. I guess the old saying is true..."Democrats fall in love, Republicans fall in line".

Today, I saw a car with several bumper stickers that left little doubt as to the driver's political proclivities. My favorite was "Big Government = No Problems".

Given that you are the professed party of big, unlimited government, it is intellectually dishonest of you to criticize Romney for his "proposals" for the economy. Rather, you should criticize the fact that he makes limited effort to influence it. I would think that an honest obama would state "I have centralized plans to run the economy, period. We Democrats believe in non-laissez faire socialism. The government will pay for a virtually no defense, but control all economic activity. We'll subordinate America's interests to multiple foreign entanglements, including with Cuba. That's my policy and position. Centralized Government will, or will not, address everything else. I'll just be like Jimmy C, and do folksy things as President that he doesn't do anymore".

Until I hear that, you are just the party of miserable, loud-mouthed, nasty, vicious, self-delusional, lying hypocrites, who talk a good story but in reality are just as, if not more so, eager to suck the teet of communist ideals, and at every level.

After seeing the latest Rasmussen poll for Ohio, I now also think Obama is getting desperate--I just thought he was a lying SOB until I saw the poll today. Rasmussen--consistently the most accurate pollster--has them tied now at 45% each. Up until this latest poll Obama was consistently ahead in Ohio in Rasmussen's polling--not by much, but ahead. One more like this and it's a trend; Obamao might very well have internal polling showing Ohio slipping through his grasp. If Romney can put Ohio back in his column, then the race is really on.
