I especially like his stance on illegal immigration. Doesn't
sound anything like the Weasel/ConMan.

Immigration

I support one of the basic principles of this nation that an individual of any ethnic heritage, economic status, racial or religious background can become an American and experience its promise of freedom --- as long as that individual follows the established, legal path to citizenship.

Protecting Our Borders. One of the core missions of the federal government is to protect our nation’s borders. My personal experience working with both the Customs & Border Protection and the United States Coast Guard is that they are staffed by some of the best America can offer but are woefully under resourced to do their jobs. I would make it a priority to fix that situation.

Enforcing Current Laws. Recognizing America as a nation of law and order, my wife went through the established and time-tested process to become a U.S. citizen. Terms such as ‘undocumented workers’ have no meaning for her, and neither do they for me. We need to call it what it is: ‘illegal’, and we need to deal with the problem just as we would enforce any other illegal action.

Keep on keepin' on, lads. It's not like Perkins has a chance in hell, and every dollar given to his campaign is a dollar wasted.

Keep it up; I would like to see lots of time and energy and cash devoted to the Perkins campaign.

Yes, after the rousing win by 980 votes last time, Connolly is unstoppable. Why would anyone think he could possibly lose. Especially with hundreds of ExxonMobil jobs leaving his district and pink slips for thousands of DOD contractors going out 3 days before the election to his constituents. He's superman.

Hey the Weasel served his time in uniform too.

Connolly is a company member of The Providence Players of Fairfax, a community theatre in Fairfax County, having acted in several of their shows.

Which served Gerry well since he has been acting like a congressman for years.

Hey, that's funny - You used Gerry's name and work in the same sentence.

Of course he won't do it,but I'd love to see a commercial with Connolly's antics playing that song in the background!

The albatrosses of Romney and Allen don't bode well for Republican weaklings.

^ You're delusional. The anti-Obama vote has very long coat tails. Connolly got lucky last time and just barely squeaked by. Put another reasonably recognized name on the ballot and he's a bad memory.

And Gerry was helped by a lukewarm Republican campaign. Not sure if the "malfunctioning" voting machines helped him or not. Be great to send the Weasel packing one term short of retirement benefits.

Connolly -

1) Draft Dodger

2) Carpetbagger from Boston

3) Dog catchers in Fairfax must be certified Animal Control professionals.
Weasels cannot apply.

+Perkins is actually a former Commander, that's right Colonel. Plus, he's been a local business owner, Gerry is a career politician who's done NOTHING for Fairfax. That alone, is more than enough reason to vote for Chris, who represents common sense, and speaking up for Fairfax in the US House.

Unfortunately the General Assembly decided not to try to go for the 11th, instead packing Democrats into it and the 8th to shore up Frank Wolf and districts further south.

As a result, Connolly's district went from D+3 to about D+7 - which is why Connolly personally signed off on the redistricting map.

The weasel will be here for awhile.

Wow. That's more than I thought. Kudos to Gerry. Gerry is an incredible politician, I'll give him that. Yet what matters is records. Look at CQ and see how his votes reflect the wishes of California liberals, and how unresponsive his staff are to anything. Even Jim Moran, another liberal of similar mode, at least has an effective constituent service. Gerry can't even do that.

Now, go to Gerry's website. Compare his statements to Chris Perkins. The difference in character and in blunt values, could not be any more clear. Perk 2012. Let's have someone in Washington who not only "gets it," is a Retired Colonel who obviously has "real world experience", and also owns a small business.

I don't think Chris kisses anyone's ass. Rather, he just wants to be a fine representative for the 11th district, and with his judgement, we can all trust him do a damn fine job in Washington. The key is voting. Gerry as pointed out earlier, with that political "Gerrymandering" of the political maps, put himself in a better position. Let's not just vote him out because of his failures, but put a person of character, Chris Perkins into the Capitol Building to represent us, not the other way around.

Let's keep track of how much money Perkins gets from the national GOP. That's a good clue for how much confidence they have in his ability to beat Gerry C.

Hint: It won't be much money.

Or maybe they don't think that it's going to take much. ;)

Keep dreaming. They can count. And Perkins is going down. They know the money is better spent . . . oh, almost anywhere else.

But keep talking yourself into thinking he has a chance. Wasted effort is always good to see.

How many votes did Gerry win by last time with the help of the 'malfunctioing' machines?

Yeah, but he's a strong candidate. lmao
