Liquidation

I see that The Room Store is liquidating their inventory starting today. I am curious if anyone has stopped by to see what their prices are like. I know sometimes liquidators jack up the price and then discount from there, so I want to see if these are good prices. Any info is appreciated.

If the liquidators are running it, as looks to be the case, then it will be a waste of time. They'll mark things up to MSRP and then 40% and clip the chumps who think they're getting a 'deal.'

THIS! I haven't bothered with a clearance sale for years.

By the time the prices are lowered to be anywhere near a good deal, the selection is horrible. I have even heard of them acquiring and selling stuff that they didn't have on hand when the liquidation started.

The employees are especially miserable. The new bosses (a separate liquidation company) treats them like shit, they all know their job will be gone soon, and the shitheads that are duped by this liquidation are usually shithead customers. The smart employees hide the good merchandise so that they can buy it when the 40% off becomes 60% off.

The Roomstore will just come back under another name. They used to be The Hub back in the 80s.

I'll say this - Ashley Furniture has some good shit in it. I was surprised. I thought it was like a Value City or something, but it's not.
