The votes for those are all stacked, I know at least one of the winning pizza places that gave you a free pizza if you voted for them. Not that I would rely on a WTOP list anyway.

@justsayin: +1

even Bob Marbourg seems more interested in giving opinion rather than information when reporting these days :(

the time on looking to 'TOP for "news" has unfortunately long since passed............

But that glass-enclosed nerve center. Always think of Les Nessman when I hear that.

Cheverly? WTF? Other than the Pepsi plant, what's there? Even Father Hurley Boulevard is far far away

Wings are good there. The foosball table is better.

I haven't found any other foosball places where the table wasn't beat to shit or full of ping-pong balls.

Jimmy's does have good food. It is a good all around bar IMO. Certainly not trendy, but you can get a cold beer and a bite and it won't cost a fortune. A rarity in Northern VA in my experience.

These TOP lists are bullshit though. Ledo's? For pizza and wings? No thanks. Heck, the pizza list had Papa John's and Vocelli on there. I wouldn't even want Vocelli at 3 AM and just finished a long night of drinking. I don't know how anyone sober eats it and enjoys it.

Ha! I don't care for your politics, but I do like your sense of humor. But let's be charitable. Cheverly is not that bad. It's sort of pronounced like Chevy Chase, and it's got...the Peace Cross!...no, wait that Blandensburg, so...it's where DeMatha plays!...no, wait that's Hyattsville...the Hospital!, yes that is definitely where P.G. County Hospital Center is!

As far as neighborhoods go, Old Town is just gratuitious. I do like the fact that funky Del Ray made the list, though. My grandparents lived there when I was a kid, and on the weekends when my parents dumped us off, I'd lie in bed at night and listen to the trains moving through Potomac Yards. During the day, we'd go to movies at the Mt. Vernon, and get in fights with kids who lived in Arlington --well, okay, that was really my older brothers. It was definitely working class folks then. Now, the houses are over priced, the neighbors are aging hipsters, and you never know when a gun battle will erupt in your front yard. It's exciting!

I remember Del Ray very well. It definitely was not an upscale neighborhood. lol Had to laugh just at the thought.

I kind of think that it's going to head back in that some direction as time goes on.

Actually, all the local news radio here is a joke. If you want to hear a real news station, try 1010 WINS in NYC.

As for "the best"...any place that pays off people to vote for them should be disqualified. How does Five Guys stay on the top of lists like this? The whole thing a travesty to news.

Neighborhood - Del Ray?

What a fucking shit hole. Has been since the race riots in the '60's. How is that place even possibly worth a mention? Gimme a break!

The only thing Del Ray has is that shithole St Elmo's coffee house and a couple of mediocre places to eat. Other than that, and WAY overpriced houses, it's nothing.
