Not sure if anyone has seen this website. It's essentially Google Maps, but you can make geographical tags and comment on specific areas, towns, neighborhoods, businesses, restaurants, etc.

It's really cool and definitely worth checking out.

I give up, why not just use Google Maps? It has location tagging already. Why go somewhere else just to tag someone else's map for free?

Google Maps' tagging function isn't anything like this one. Wikimapia allows users to draw borders and so much more.

But someone may not agree with the borders I draw. VDOT and other state agencies have town border maps.

But maybe I'm just being negative... can you point to a few uses for this that I can't get from other sources?
