Very cute pup. It's a shame she had a dipshit owner who could barely take care of themself, let alone a puppy.

If you find this dog please return it to the rescue.

Wow! I didn't realize how cruel and stupid people would be! Just remember Karma is a bi**h if you ever make a mistake and lose something dear to you! You're all so perfect? Hazel is quick and we were in the woods, ON A LEASH! Something scared her and she ripped the leash right out my hand and was gone before I knew it. Accidents happen and we already feel horrible that we couldn't find her. Does it make you feel better rubbing salt in the wound?

Comes with the territory here. Plenty more coming (along with helpful folks too). Responding to it will just make it worse. Either ignore it or just move on.

I found her and put a blanket over her. Don't worry, she's in a better place now, enjoying life on a farm with many other friendly puppies.

Ignore these nasty comments from sick warped people that get enjoyment out of making light of other peoples' troubles. Now is NOT the time for disgusting humor like this. Don't give up hope, keep looking, and put out signs--a reward may help as well! Don't forget to check the local animal shelter. Take care and best of luck.

Make use of all local internet sites to post picture. Make sure you hit local Starbucks and places that have heavy foot traffic, try to put up posters there. Also try WTOP, they get a lot of hits and usually with some pleading they will post the missing pup. Best of luck.

That is one cute puppy.

How about some sympathy. Just because the site is loaded with some harsh rhetoric doesnt mean it always has to be that way. Show some respect for this person, they obviously miss the dog or wouldnt have posted the story.

To the OP please keep us posted on this site if you have any luck or sightings. If you have any sightings let us know, I wouldnt mind taking a trip to Reston to help out.

Its still a good idea to post here, even though i am an asshole troll, i would probably try to catch and return your puppy to you if i saw it. If i didn't see this post and saw it i would think some dumb owner is probably just not leashing there puppy.

I have a chip in my dog. He is a rare and expensive breed. I am more worried someone would steal him. He is never left alone outside and he is always on a leash. Mistakes do happen.

I pray you find your dog.

If you're referring to Rachel, sadly she is still missing. Her owners still update a facebook page regularly. OP you might want to start something like this:

Thank you to the kind respondents to my post. You have restored my faith in people! I had never used Fairfax Underground, so I was not prepared for some of those careless responses. We did find our puppy! She had made her way all the way around the lake! Someone who had seen one of our posters recognized her and called us. There are good people out there! We couldn't be more grateful to everyone who helped! And for those idiots that made stupid comments - she was leashed, and she is extremely well-cared for! You have no idea how much she is loved! Accidents happen. Dogs run off. It doesn't mean you're a bad owner. I pity those that have no life and need to say horrible things to innocent, caring people to make themselves feel better. You're pathetic losers! (Though I know my words are wasted, since folks like that have no heart or intelligence. It just makes me feel better to get it off my chest.)
Again, thank you so much to those of you that cared and gave helpful tips. It is appreciated! Best wishes to you!

@S-H Crawlik

I'm glad you found your dog. I hope the first thing you do is go get a chip implanted at the vet. Having one will greatly increase your chances of having your dog returned to you -- or at least knowing what happened to it if it becomes roadkill. I don't mean to sound harsh, but consider yourself lucky this time.

That was not posted by me. Seriously, what is wrong with some of the people on here? Get a life and find something worthwhile to do. My pup is safe and sound and at home where she belongs. Again, thanks to those who offered support and assistance! Farewell!

Glad to hear this had a happy ending. Remember though, this county is just teeming with Koreans and they wont hesitate for a second to snatch up your dog.

Glad to hear that your dog is back.

I don't agree often with Ito and Gordon Blvd but unless your dog ALWAYS wears a collar with your name and phone number on it, it is a good idea to get it chipped. It's an even better idea to do both. Flyers are nice so long as the person finding your dog has seen one, but your dog could wander miles. It is best to make it as easy as possible for the person finding the dog to get in touch with you. Howver collars can get "lost"so with a chip there is still a chance you can be re-united with your loved one.

It does my heart good to hear that your dog is back! :)

Getting her chipped is a good idea, they can do it at the vet, and it is the first thing they check at the shelter when taking lost dogs in.
