There is no correlation between "best" and "Greek" and "restaurant."

More accurately you should ask, "Any good suggestions for the least vomit inducing Greek food in Fairfax/Herndon/Vienna area? Preferably one not too far from my bathroom at home. I tend to avoid public restrooms for explosive shits."

A few restaurants have been suggested...Knossos, Greek Taverna, Nostos, Pan Am and Mezza Grill. Any feedback would be appreciated other than idiot remarks!

Havabite in Fairfax is owned and operated by a Greek family, offering plenty of dishes. Good choice for little $.

I second Nostos but this is a more formal restaurant. In Vienna, the Plaka Grill just made the Washingtonian list of best 'cheap eats'. I have never been there but know people who go there a lot. In the town of Herndon, there is the Mediterranian Breeze, which has a large menu and a nice salad bar.

Skorpios Maggio's is the absolute best and the owner is a very nice and funny guy! Once I was in there with my little ones and he threw in a few bags of chips for the kids. Another time, they handed out free samples of Baklava. Another time, we got extra fries free. Really nice people. And the owner who always seems to be around is the best. The food is great too. I love the Greek piatas. Awesome.

Plaka Grill and Amphora are our two go to places. We has Amphora cater my sons' christening party, and the Greek side of the family loved it.

My God! I should have listened to the warnings! I spent all night on the crapper! I think I shit an entire lamb out! I ran out of toilet paper midway through. I'm still trying to wash the shit out from under my fingernails! Why, oh God, WHY didn't I listen?

By the way, I'm thinking of doing Indian food tonight. Any recommendations?

Where did you end up eating that caused such a reaction?

Gordon, you can buy lamb gyro meat at Aphrodites market in Falls Church.
