So, I lost my Coke Freestyle virginity yesterday and now...I'll never go back to bottles, cans or just any Coke fountain. Please post locations of this orgasm in your mouth machine. The one that deflowered me is located at: 7968 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA.

I hate these.... they slow things down SOOOO much. I don't need to wait 10 minutes in line to get a drink while people play or figure out how to use it!

I saw them in the Oakton California Tortilla yesterday; they have two machines. The CalTort seemed to have more options on the screen than the one machine at Moe's in Centreville.

I think once people figure out what is available on them and how to use them, it won't take quite as long. Or at least that's what I'm hoping.

I must be missing something, what is so great about these? You can mix flavors of sodas at any fountain, so it must be the variety?

+1 major pain in the ass, while people try to figure it out. Also if the thing needs more syrup it takes an IT person to stop and restart the thing. That also takes several minutes to do.

those things are horrible. you can have 50 different sodas, but they all taste like shit because the syrup level is never right.

Depending on how these are operated it might not be Coca-Cola's fault. I once worked with a sensor company that developed a viscosity-independent flow meter because soda companies are tired of their retailers thinning the mix in fountains and then having people blame the manufacturer as if their product is at fault.

It took some time, but I have jacked off on every machine mentioned here. I usually like to linger longer, but due the the public locations I had to be right quick about it. I typically prepped in the parking lot and finished in the machine.

Good for you! Some folks say that kids nowadays are lackadasical slackers, but you have the focus and drive that I admire! I can't say I want to shake your hand, but good luck to you, and I hope you accomplish your goal of recharging every Coke Freestyle machine with life-enahancing energy!

I am as big of a coke fanboy as they come but these things suck.

1) If you want peach/orange/nectarine flavor added to your coke you arent a purist. GTFO.
2) They take forever to be used.
3) The secret to using them is before you fill your coke select sprite or club soda and just run it for a few seconds... clear out all that cherry/strawberry/boisenberry crap that the last guy used, then fill up your coke.

"soda companies are tired of their retailers thinning the mix in fountains and then having people blame the manufacturer as if their product is at fault"

so this is why the soft drinks at most fast food and convience stores taste like nothing more than flavored water these days

I remember when Wendy's had great tasting soft drinks but that ended after Dave Thomas died

Corporate America...of which Coca-Cola helped define...has spent so much time on image and branding identity it's hard to believe a product has been around this long and we still have quality issues from the fountain. Coca-Cola could easily fix this with technology thereby limiting the retailers' ability to adjust the mix and they haven't. I guess they're too busy spending money on advertising to see that their brand is eroding.

Came across one of these at Moe's last night.

Half of the "choices" aren't anything new. Oooh, Cherry Coke!

Never mind that you can't even look through them if you have any class and therefore don't want to sit there hogging the machine. I just grabbed a regular old Coke and in seconds I was surrounded by unsupervised children who apparently wanted to hit the buttons some more.

You know what I want? To order a soda and have someone fill it for me again. Enough of this self serve BS where you are getting elbowed by some entitled soccer mom who thinks she can cut ahead of you. This is probably why I don't order soda 99% of the time.

Fucking HATE these machines with a passion. I can deal with the herpderps who stare at the touch screen for 6 minutes while they figure out its cherry flavored lime coke they want.

What I cant stand is the flavor. I drink 1 soda; Diet coke. If you only drink 1 soda you know what it looks like, you know what it smells like and know for sure if the syrup and carbonated water is mixed right. They NEVER mix right on these machines leaving you with an RC diet cola imitation of what youre looking for.

The quality of product is really lacking with these machines. It is hard enough to get a good syrup mix from a traditional machine, but you have no chance with freestyle.

The average person can't tell the difference anyway. They will just drink on like drones.
