Ourisman Fairfax Toyota

Anybody dealt with these people before? Every time I've dealt with them I catch them in lies. They just seem like some especially slimey fucks...

Unfortunately they're one of the few that have the car I'm looking for.

Info would be appreciated.

I've dealt with them. Very polite, but pushy and won't take no for an answer.

They're part of a chain, so their goal is to push iron. Go in @ the end of the month & stick to your dollar amount, and they'll try everything to do a deal.

If you know how much you are willing to pay, buying a car is not a difficult procedure. Go in with a check made out in the exact amount you are willing to pay. Tell the salesman that you have this one check and this check only. If the the total deal can't be had for what is on the check, tell them you are going home.

I have bought my last three cars this way and I will never do it another way again.

Yup. As long as your offer isn't absolutely ridiculous, they won't let money that is literally on the table walk out of the showroom. I've sold cars, and if they can make a sale that day, they will pull out the stops to make the sale.

I'm probably doing the same thing and tie both new and trade to it. I want to pay $37k for the new car, want $10k for my trade, so I have a check here for $27k. Take it or leave it.

I missed the part where I asked for car buying advice...

What I did ask for was info/opinions from people's experience with this dealership.

They suck. They lied to me about needing my social security number to buy a car, saying "it was the law". I refused to give it to them and said that if that's a law, I won't buy a car. They finally relented when they saw I wasn't going to give it to them.

Later I found out they ran an inquriy on my credit report using my other personal information to get the report. That's what they wanted my SSN for. I was a cash buyer and never wanted or requested financing from them. I'll never buy anything from them ever again.

I have had very good experiences with Springfield Toyota, Leesburg Toyota and Koons Tysons Corner Toyota. I had an awful experience with Ourisman Toyota in Fairfax, to the degree that I swore I would never ever do any business of any kind with them again. I will never go there for any thing--cars, service or anything else related-period. But it is your choice, and who knows, maybe they have improved since the 1990's.

Make a day of it and go down to ron rosner He has got the deals. As long as your new yota is under warranty you can take it to local dealerships for service.
The trip tp rosner will save you at least a grand maybe more.

Go buy from there and pay sticker price. Do whatever the salesman says, he is looking out for you. Monthly payments are the way to negotiate. Best Toyota dealer around.

With the remodleing of the building, next to Collison Specialists/Red Lobster, is Ourisman Fairfax Toyota going to leave the old Fairfax Movie theatre site next to Denny's?

I bought a used car from Ourisman Fairfax back in 2000. The salesman was a bumbling idiot. First, he lost my downpayment check. I had given him the check, then returned a couple days later. He couldn't find it and insisted I'd have to write a new one. I told him I had watched him put it in a drawer in his desk. He looked in there, and sure enough, it was mixed in with other papers. That wasn't the only issue. During the process of buying the car, I traded in my old one and he offered to turn my old licence plates over to DMV. A few months later, I got a nasty letter from DMV informing me that our insurance company had reported to them that I had dropped insurance from that vehicle and I either had to prove to them that I had insurance on that old car or pay the uninsured motorist fee. When I contacted Oursiman, they didn't want to help me at first. After speaking to a couple people, they finally told me the salesman had transferred to another Toyota dealership. They looked around for the old plates, and what do you know, they found them in the area of the salesman's desk. Ugh!

Given your initial question, it was clear you needed it.

The fact that you can't find the car at another dealership indicates you need a ton of help.

Amateur.
