Is Golfsmith coming to Fairfax City

Surprised to see something moving into the old Borders bookstore site in Kamp Washington/Fairfax City. I thought that site would sit empty for years like a number of retail sites across the county.

At same location the opening the Cox cable office was surprise. The previous store at that location, Pizza Hut, must have exited at least 3 years ago.

Kudos to the leasing agent working that shopping center.

In other Fairfax City retail news, sort of looks like something already going on in the old Bloom grocery store next to the new WalMart.

On the other side of the city Art and Framing store has closed in the Fairfax Circle Center. Think that business had been there for some 20 years? ,

I'm not sure about Fairfax City but, there's a Golfsmith going in next to Wegman's in Woodbrige...

Another store dedicated solely to golf? That's just what we need, along with more asian restaurants and banks.

A whole store dedicated to golf!?!?!! Just like a whole store dedicated to running/walking?!?!?!

SHIT!

Patch had an article a few weeks ago about Golfsmith moving in. THey are only taking part of the Border's space.

Not sure about the Bloom spot. There have been rumor's about WalMart taking it over, but I haven't heard anything about permits at the county or anything.

Blacksmith is moving into that space. Just bring your own steel and iron and walk
out with a nice pair of horse shoes. Or ask for the samurai sword special.

Oh noes, someone's interested in something you're not!

What a fucking shame!

I'll warm up a titty bottle for you. Go grab your binky and I'll tell you a story while you drown your sorrows with the warm warm formula.

Golfsmith is opening up next month at the old Borders location. However, it will only occupy half of the previous tenant's space.

Hopefully something less boring will go in the other part of the space.

Next trend is to move other retail concepts into food trucks.

Have a golf truck go through the office parks and provide workers an opportunity to tee off from the parking lot during lunch hour, rest breaks, and so on.
