There are no really good places for urbex in the DC area. It's best to find a city area that is full of old industrial and warehouse districts. If you are serious about it, drive down to central VA, like Richmond or Petersburg. Plenty of abandoned buildings and tunnels there.

If you take 295 to route 40 in NJ to get to Atlantic City, there's about 50 places I want to go through
