Fanfare Eatery in Fairfax Corner. Hotdogs are called "rippers" and come topped with spicy queso sauce plus chili or bacon.

That place rates about a 2 in terms of local talent. Of course, your choices are quite limited in Chantilly proper.

When it comes down to the "best" dog it has to be a well done dog at Five Guys. I have had the dogs at Vienna Inn for years and they are good, but not the best. The best deal on a fair hot dog has to be Costco. Not a great dog, but not bad and one hell of a good deal.

Except for Costco all of these seem to be in western County or points south or west. Is there someplace in central or eastern Fairfax besides Costco and Fudruckers (do they still sell dogs)?

Costco. Be sure to utilize the onion dispenser.

I'm serious. Costco makes a great hotdog, and many of the other posters seem to agree.

And you can't beat the price.

BTW you dont have to be a Costco member to enjoy their food court. You can pay cash at the food court cash register, no member card required,

You can tell the people at the front door that you are there to see about opening a membership, and they will let you in without a card.

I agree Fan fare at Fairfax Corner has great Rippers they are deep fried and served on pretzel buns, I was there Friday night and had them. I think Glorys Days also serves them they are owned by the same people. You can get one or two dogs platters.
Chicago dawg house are not bad but a bit pricey for a dog fries and drink it 7-8 dollars.

If you are not a Costco member, don't go through the front door and lie, just enter through the exit and say "I am going to the food court" and nobody will stop you.

Chicago Dog in Chantilly is ok. Dogs are not very big and most everything there is premade, just warmed. Not a lot of seating either. Supposedly they are putting one in Nats Park.

I like a half-smoke every so often, and Ben's Chili Bowl does them best.
