Best place to buy cheap BBQ meat

I'm really tired of paying $6.49 for brisket (LOL at the price). and $3.99 is a little expensive for chuck shoulder. Even pork shoulders are $3.49 around here at most plaes

Can anyone recommend some good locations for sourcing cheap BBQ meat. I'm in the Burke/Springfield area.

Costco. Too bad you have to pay up the nose for a membership, 55 bucks a year. If you're an employee like me though, it's free. Doesn't do you much good though, I suppose.

http://www.restaurantdepot.com/ I have found pork shoulder marked down to ,69 lb. You need a business license or a friend with one.

Shoppers has a good selection but recently raised their prices. Brisket there is $6.49 a pound.

I went to Fresh World in Springfield and it was 2.69 .

The selection there was pretty bad ass, I've never seen anything like it in northern virginia aside from a real butcher

The commissary at Ft. Belvoir. Just got pork shoulder for $1.29/lb. De-licious!

Definitely the international market in Hechinger's plaza in Springfield. It's the only place to get meat. 1.39 for shoulder, 2.49 for brisket and even rib eye roast (prime rib) for 3.19/lb and tenderloin at $6/lb.

It's crazy. I don't know how their prices are so low. They also have live blue crab all year long, whole pig, whole lamb, pig, lamb, cow heads, live fish of all types and live dungenous crab. People are nice too although I'm usually the only white person in the store.

Dude seriously, if $55 bucks is too much money, than you probably shouldn't be living in Northern Virginia.

$6.49 for brisket is a crime - especially given what a shitty piece of meat is until you smoke the hell out of it (not a small investment of time).
