Old Cairo Grill in Burke Center Closed?

Tried calling them today but their #'s were all disconnected. Drove by and saw those "in progress" posters up on the doors. Does anyone know what's going in there and/or if OCG is changing locations.

Most likely remolding but wouldn't be surprised if they're moving
- That shopping center is getting saturated with restaurants

I know the owner. He recently told me the owners of the shopping complex were trying to squeeze all the business owners in that center. I got the impression he was tired of their BS and ready to move his business elsewhere.

My husband and I planned on going to OCG tonight for Valentines Day. We LOVED that place and the owner was the nicest man. Both of us were very sad to find they had closed. I hope that they reopen elsewhere! To the above poster that knows the owner, please tell him that we miss him and his food!

Are there any good middle eastern fast food options in the Springfield/Burke area? The options seem to be lacking. How hard should it be to find a delicious falafel sandwich for $5 or less?

For a while now there's been a store sign up on that same strip for a Peruvian chicken place. Anybody heard about when it's scheduled to open? As far as I can tell, it'll be the first Peruvian chicken place in Burke, so it should do well if it's any good at all.

Aladdin's Eatery is decent. It's not counter-style "fast food" but you can order carry out.

Aladdin's Eatery in Burke has some very good food for a modest price. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about - it's clean, but plain. I have ordered quite a few different dishes there and have enjoyed all of them.

There's a sign on the door from an attorney that the tenant was evicted for not paying the rent. Locks were changed by management.

Too bad. The food at OCG was pretty good, but the service was extremely slow. They needed more help, or a more efficient kitchen.

They were also closed on Sundays. Although I totally understand since it was a family-run operation, they really missed out on a lot of weekend lunchtime business. There is a Wal-mart next door, for chrissake.
