What was the cause of the Brookfield house explosion?

Was it ever discovered what caused it? Was it done on purpose for insurance or something?

I believe they blamed a gas leak. The place has been rebuilt to what looks like its exact condition before the explosion. The shed in the back still has some warped siding from the fire.

Gas leak from construction in front of the house, although Washington Gas is in denial.

The cause of the explosion was the detonation of off-gases from decomposing bodies. A local contractor was hiring illegals and then murdering them to avoid paying them. The bodies were dumped under that house in Brookfield.
