This school has a dance team that made it to the finals of "America's Got Talent". This school has awesome musical groups including a guitar program that is unrivaled. This school offers many sports and has a great theater/drama program. This school offers many AP courses. This school has some really incredible teachers (and hopefully they will stay). This school has some wonderful parents who volunteer many hours to help keep the place running.
This school has a physical plant that is crumbling and which has been ignored (probably because the academic and extracurricular results have been so good). This school is being stressed out by having lower budgets and larger class sizes. This school has just had a change in principal. This school is overcrowded and has trailers. This school has teachers who are becoming demoralized. The previous principal tried hard to keep that from happening. He was walking lots of lines.
Like everywhere else in FFX County, the future of this school is not guaranteed. It will all depend on decisions made by the SB. The decisions so far have not been good. This community has likely peaked and is on edge and parts of it are going downhill. This area could very easily become another "problem area" for the county if they don't keep it up.
