Route 1 is a far bigger, dumpier area than Culmore/Baileys. Parts of Baileys are quite decent, like Skyline. Route 1 is just nasty.

Theres a bar at a strip mall on Cedar Ave in Vienna. If thats not the most dangerous part of Nova, it sure appears to be.

Skyline isn't bad at all. Culmore and Bailey's Crossroads are pretty bad. If you're white you will feel uncomfortable there. Not because you're a racist but because you can tell you don't belong and everyone knows it.

None... With a Concealed Weapon Permit, none are dangerous. Thank God for Virginia. Really? Who's afraid of 4 foot Messycans. My 7 year old is taller and more intimidating.

Neither are great. I think the Alexandria part is a bit better owing to 1) there are some pretty nice houses between Rte 1 and the GW parkway, and 2) there is an attempt at some revitalization down Rte. 1 in Alexandria.

We drove down that way over Christmas break to go looking at light displays and the shopping centers where the Home Depot is (near Sherwood Hall Lane) and the Groveton shopping centers are 10 times better looking than they were 10 or 15 years ago.

Woodbridge on the other hand looks like a Sarlacc that forgot to wipe.

Anyplace you see alot of big lipped, brillo haired speark chuckers. The ones from africa just smell bad, the home grown ones smell bad, can't speak english correctly and have low-iq/violent tendencies.

Clifton, if you drive through that place and your car does not cost over $75K they will make it known that you do not belong in their town. Watch out for kids in that area as well, the sense of entitlement is so strong that they may just have you thinking you are better than everyone else too.

If you have to go to the area they don't really have a gang color but you best wear some North Face gear and Uggs. You'll at least be able to fit in for a little while, if they don't see you parking the Camry.
