Is this a good school? I've never heard of it before and a friend wants to go there.

I think they have courses in hiking and making apple-butter. Graduate work in trout fishing.

I got an associates there in squirrel calling. I now work for VDOT where I lean on a shovel and stare at potholes and motorists backed up in traffic.

Probably a glorified diploma mill. If you can pay you are in. Pay for four years and you got a degree in something. People might think the school is fake on a resume though.

SU is a legit school that has been around for some time. I believe it used to be known as Shenandoah College and Conservatory.

Yeah.. I knew a guy from high school who went there in the 1970s because he was into playing banjo and string instruments. From what I understood at the time, it was a music school....

School is legit. Mostly known for the music fags and dancers. Sports programs, well track/field, softball, womens soccer, and baseball are on the rise.great PT grad program

It's a private school, not the most prestigious, but from what I've heard it's a pretty good school overall. And the people I know that went there said they got a solid education.

It seems like a lot of teachers I know went there. Somehow I ain't buying that it's anything other than a diploma mill.

I like the idea of a bs in trout fishing with a minor in squirrel wrangling.

Any school that teaches squirrel wrangling is a diploma mill. Only accredited schools are allowed to teach squirrel wranglin'.

I didn't go there, but Shenandoah University has long had a great reputation for music programs. Not a glorified diploma mill by any means.

It's a tiny private college with a total undergrad enrollment of about 2,000, plus graduate programs. U.S. News (generally a good first place to look for college info) ranks it No. 44 among southern regional universities. Nursing is a popular major.
