Police activity in Franconia

Anybody with a police scanner care to share what is happening on Franconia Rd? One cluster of cops next to the Burrito Joynt and fire, police etc blocking the exit for the Springfield mall.

Just curious, peace.

Shootings with a couple different locations.

I am anxious to hear how the story pans out.

What a wonderful place the Springfield Mall is...

From http://www.nbc4.com/news/15202260/detail.html

"SPRINGFIELD, Va. -- Three people are shot -- one by officers -- outside a Springfield police station early Saturday.

It started about 3:20 a.m. with a 911 call from a man who said he'd been shot in front of the Franconia District Station next to Springfield Mall, police said.

Officers rushed outside to find two people suffering gunshot wounds and a car speeding from the scene.

A short pursuit followed, with the driver of a Jeep crashing into a utility pole, police said.

After a confrontation, officers shot the driver, police said.

Detectives are still trying to sort out exactly what happened, but said the original shooting appears to have occurred in the police station parking lot.

The two gunshot victims and the man wounded by police were taken to nearby hospitals. Their conditions were not known early Saturday."

LOL! dumbasses. at least the FCPD finally shot someone who deserved it. i bet the guy was actually armed this time. then again, he may have ditched the gun and then tried to surrender after wrecking his jeep. ;P

The guy was armed with a shotgun, at first they thought it was a rifle. I believe it was actually a VSP trooper that shot him.

yeah, if you step out of car with a large firearm, you might as well have a big target on you. that guy had it coming. considering there was an actual threat, the FCPD were probably running for cover.

And where was Gravis for this shooting. Oh yes, tucked in bed having dreams that someday he might be brave. You are the sheep that the police protect. Not just from the bad element but from yourself.

Wow. I knew there were some jealous losers in this site but man, this is over the top.

I hope you are not serious but somehow I wouldn't doubt it if you were.

Go find a girl or something, ok?

Hey wow, How much of a loser low life must you be to feel the need to make fun of someone who listens to a scanner as a hobby. I listen to a scanner and I got a girl too. So whats that make me? I don't know but no matter what it makes me, I can sleep easy knowing you're a tool.

Oh and by the way that guy in the first pic is using ham radios not scanners. The second pic are scanners (at least you got one out of three right).

And well that last one, I just gotta know what the story is there. Now that guy does look like a loser, however I don't see any scanners there.
