The avg. teacher salary is $63,980. Remember, that's average from year one on up.

As a teacher, I can say I wouldn't want the superintendent's job and I'm not going to gripe about the difference in salary. Whether you agree with the man or not, he is in charge of A LOT more than I am.
Regarding the salaries of sports figures and TV personaliites. They make that money because they bring in that money. You focused on a few very select athletes. People pay $$ to see them play, to wear the team jersey, to watch them on TV. Where else should the money go? It's called a free market. Do you expect them to turn down the $$? I'm a teacher, and I'm realistic. If I could play like LeBron, or throw like Rodgers, I'd be bringing in the $$$ too.
