I wasn't at Tim's funeral, but I have been to two funerals this year with very large turn outs. For some reason FCPD was unable to provide escort. One resulted in an accident & the one in the procession was charged. I do think they play favorits on that. I'm sure if my friend was one of their friends we would of had free passage

What is Timmy’sLaw.Org About?

Timmy’s Law will seek to amend or create current laws in various codes, to tighten civil definitions, create or modify police policy and provide penalties as a means to deter future civil rights violations inadvertently or purposefully. This is to raise awareness of a violation of rights, undue conduct, and the use of profiling to justify violating civil rights

What Happened?

On August 14th, 2011 Timmy Hall passed away in a motorcycle accident. On Thursday, August 18th Timmy's funeral was held in Herndon, Virginia. During the drive to the cemetery the entire funeral procession was pulled over, disbanded, and the funeral was disrupted by the Fairfax County Police. There are significant Civil Rights violations that affect every citizen and need to be addressed.

I've participated in escorts with LEO support, and without. Not sure of the criteria for LEO help or the request process; but when LEO are assisting it's safer and easier.

Why can't this problem be addressed by existing laws that are already on the books? Do we really need another "feel good" law that will probably end up causing more problems than it solves? Not diminishing what happened but "Police officer abuses authority or violates law causing problems for law abiding taxpayers" is such a regular posting here that it could have its own permanent thread.

After bikers having nothing to do with the fallen of 9/11 were able to convince authorities to close major interstates on their noisy path to DC and out again, I am sure I have paid enough tax dollars for privileged biker escorts to last my lifetime.

I think he drove his motorcycle through the wall of Derek Oliverio's house. The motorcycle exploded and set the place on fire.

Fellow Marvin, while I know it is fun to continually play soccor with Kilton's pea brain, let's keep our comments to him restricted to the gun's in NOVA thread. There is no need to litter up the other threads with his nonsensical ramblings. Most posters here have written that thread off so let's just have our fun there.

I hadn't realized this occurred until just now. I am not sure if there are "Marvin Monroe" postings on other threads, but let's apply the same rule - only on the guns in NoVA thread.

Thanks.

Here's the background on the case....

Timmy Hall's Funeral Procession Interrupted By Fairfax County Police
5:51 PM, Aug 22, 2011
Written by
Andrea McCarren
http://www.wusa9.com/news/article/163455/158/ONLY-ON-9-Police-Allegedly-Hassle-Funeral-Procession

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (WUSA) -- Fifty-three-year-old Timmy Hall was being laid to rest Thursday when the hundreds of mourners in his funeral procession were pulled over by Fairfax County police. Timmy Hall lost his life in a motorcycle crash a week ago.

Not only did police pull over the entire funeral procession, according to numerous witnesses, they threatened to use a taser on the dead man's brother.

What began as a funeral procession along the Fairfax County Parkway to honor 53-year-old Timmy Hall spiraled into a confrontation between Fairfax County Police and the bikers who were mourning his death.

"They showed him no respect. I don't think any family during this time should have to go through what we went through yesterday," said sister Teena Hunter.

With lights and sirens, the family says police pulled over the hearse and the rest of the procession, threatening to arrest some mourners.

Sister Bonnie Boyer told 9NEWS NOW, "They worked very hard to give Timmy a send-off showing their love. And to have this happen is an insult."

Timmy's brother, Rusty, admits he was exasperated and was blunt with police.

"I looked at one officer. I said, 'Thank you for pissing on my brother's funeral.' And then another officer pulled up. I said to him, 'Thank you for pissing on my brother's funeral.' He goes, 'Have you got a problem?' I said, 'I'm upset, this is wrong,'" said Rusty Hall.

Rusty Hall says he turned to walk away.

"My two nephews came up from behind and said 'stop, stop, don't do it!' And I looked back over my shoulder and the officer pulled a taser," said Hall. "Was getting ready to tase me, as I was walking away."

Many of the mourners believe they were singled out because they were riding motorcycles. Fairfax County Police dispute that.

"If there were 250 cars at that funeral, there would have been no problem whatsoever. There was 250 motorcycles. Most blatant abuse of profiling and power play I ever saw in my life. I couldn't believe it when I was watching it," stated Joe Long, a friend.

"My father deserved better than that. He was a great man to a lot of people. And to have this happen to him on this day of all days, it's just unexcusable," said Michael Hall, Timmy Hall's son.

Fairfax County Police now say they are investigating this incident. Timmy Hall's family and friends want a public apology.

A Fairfax County Police spokeswoman calls the incident a "misunderstanding" that began when the funeral procession left earlier than anticipated. That, she said, led it to being pulled over because the police escorts did not have time to get in position.

I didn't miss it thats what I thought the law was. The cops are the ones that missed it. We were in a large funeral procession with are flashing amber lights on and are "FUNERAL" stickers in the windshields.

C. Vehicles used to lead or provide escorts for funeral processions may use either amber warning lights or purple warning lights, but amber warning lights and purple warning lights shall not simultaneously be used on the same vehicle. The Superintendent of State Police shall develop standards and specifications for purple lights authorized in this subsection.

Sounds like if they had started the procession when the police had expected them to none of the trouble would have occurred. Instead of wasting our time with "new laws" and phony "rights" violations, just start on time and don't block traffic up earlier than you told the cops you would.

To: support your local 81...

For your information, Timmy was not a Pagan. He was an individual who enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, Electra-Glide and enjoyed being in the company of bikers of the biker community. The black-leather vest he is wearing has an orange patch below his right arm, WNC. WNC is not a motorcycle club. To clear up any confusion you have, visit:

This. And an extra "this" for every time I've been stuck behind a joyriding group of bikers that has decided to block both lanes of traffic and all entrance points in order to keep their little posse uninterrupted.

That's EXACTLY what the problem was. They started early and created several problems with traffic. The bikers were ignorant of the law and were arrested because of their confrontational behaviour when they were pulled over. The existing law is perfect the way it is, it works very well for citizens WHEN THEY LEARN TO FOLLOW IT.

Ok...friskydingo...
You know the definition of a biker? If you can give a clear definition of what a biker is and if you have lived the biker's way of life; great. IF not and can not speak, act, ride a motorcycle and dress, or party like a biker...then, well...all right. You're NOT a biker. Search the web if you care to and just read about bikers. READING is simply not enough either. Once you've lived a biker's way of life and have experienced it, then it's safe to call yourself a biker.

Just as I am, without one plea,
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bidst me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark blot,
To Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, though tossed about
With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings and fears within, without,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind;
Sight, riches, healing of the mind,
Yea, all I need in Thee to find,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, Thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because Thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, Thy love unknown
Hath broken every barrier down;
Now, to be Thine, yea, Thine alone,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, of that free love
The breadth, length, depth, and height to prove,
Here for a season, then above,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

REST IN PEACE, TIM

I'm confused. Is the issue that the procession didn't have a police escort so they were just running lights anyway?

Discussion about the escort is over with. We've moved on. This thread's goal is to reinforce the typical "rider" stereotype. We're coming along very nicely. :-)

If we want a law in Timmy's honor, shouldn't it be a law against driving your motorcycle at 120 mph at 2 in the morning and running straight into a car? That's a law that seems like it would (a) honor Timmy and (b) save lives.

Timmy was riding his motorcycle home at 1:00AM in the morning. He did not riding right into a vehicle. It was NOT his fault. Driver of that vehicle was driving around Fairfax without their headlights on. Driver was also a minor, under the age of 18. Whoever's in charge of this case, I hope that this law is passed in his honor. Laws regarding riding motorcycles in a safe manner exist for everyone's safety. As far as saving lives; it seems like the number of motorcycle fatalities has increased due to the high statistics of drivers driving their vehicles in an irresponsible manner and highly distracted behind the wheel.

I am still grieving the loss of Timmy, along with hundreds of bikers. He was someone I admired and respected. The pain will remain but, over time it will ease.

And there he sat. Drinking his ice-cold coca cola. Smoking a cigarette. Sitting quietly at a table by himself. His eyes met mine. We smiled. Said hello with a few waves of our hands. A few minutes later, he approached me to give me a hug. Put his arms around me. I felt loved. I look back at this happy memory I had. It was late at night. I gave him a big hug back. He smiled again and said, "Hey girl."

R I P, Brother Timmy.

Did he pay you for a "date?" I know how those bikers roll.

Wait, I don't get this, Sunset Billy...you exchanged saucy glances with Timmy, sspoke to each other in American Sign Language, and then he said, "Hey girl"?

Billy, you're a guy, right?

Wow, crazy lifestyle...

What difference does it make if I am a female or a male? To you, why should that even matter? It was pure reading of body language. No American Sign Language, which is use of both hands. And no, he did not pay for a "date". Ok? Stop reading into my posts as if you're some counselor with a degree in whatever. All right? Timmy was being polite towards me just like he was with many other people. Ok? Not once did Timmy show any disrespect towards myself and other bikers and OL'Ladies that night. I also know how bikers behave in bars. Subject CLOSED.

SunseGrillBilly, I do hope you're a woman...not 100% sure, but I'm gonna take a chance. I've fallen for you like a ton of bricks; you're feisty, can probably outdrink a man, and I bet you have a tattoo or two that you show that "special" someone when the time is right.

Let's meet up at the Sunset Grill! I got a Vespa scooter with optional mirrors on it...you won't miss me.

If I'm reading this thread right...he's a guy who died when his vespa skooter crashed into a hay bail going 120mph at 2am. Afterwards they apparently made his body into some manner of cole slaw, very strange imo. They setup a website about it. He is survived by his brother Rusty and is dearly missed by his many friends and homosexual lovers.

Agreed, minus the gay part.

Lots of bikers seem very insecure. They ride around silently screaming "LOOK AT ME, IM HARDKORE"

To the motherfucking son of a bitch that almost flattened me last night on rte 7... I'd have lived through the crash had it happened, but I would have been really, really pissed off. I know we rip (pardon the pun) on bikers on here all the time, but for shit's sake pay a little more attention when you're on the road. Sure it's fun to joke about bikers being big, gay, hairy drunks and they are for the most part But be at fault for hitting one and you'll be paying for it for the rest of your life. If not for moral reasons, think of your wallet!

Here's an idea...How about you man-up and watch out for yourself? You're the dumbass who got onto the motorcycle and put yourself into an unsafe and potentially deadly situation. Your recklessness is not my concern.

If you really gave a shit about your family you wouldn't be on the motorcycle in the first place.

To F Bikers:

All right. Drivers driving around in their cars (cages) need to be aware of what surrounds them. Same rule applies to motorcyclists. What it comes down to is knowing what you're doing when operating any type of machinery on busy, congested and dangerous roads. That also includes being alert and safety oriented. The point here is all it takes is for however many people are involved in an accident, distractions. Eating, texting on your cell phones, talking on cell phones, putting on making up and looking around for whatever may have fallen off your passenger seat next to you. Distractions KILL. GIVE A RATS whatever before you put your rear-end in your car. By the way, I DO give a whatever about my family, friends and co-workers. BEFORE you start making sick and judgemental statements on this thread; ASK yourself IF it's even worth your time and energy to type. DRIVE SAFE.

To:

Rusty Hall,

I recently read your last post about personal attacks on yourself and your family.

When reading these posts, try seeing each message as not an attack on you or your family. There are people who geniuingly care about you. I have monitored these posts this past week and found them to be up lifting, postive and negative. Whenever you see the TROLL'S messages, ignore them. Try and understand as you already do that hundreds of bikers loved your brother, you and your family.

And now, your journey of healing over the loss of your brother is not going to be easy. In time, as you live on strongly, hour by hour; you'll be all right. I am not writing this message to put you down nor to judge you. You've got everything you need in your life: family, close friends and supporters that care.

Just want to throw this out there...I ride a motorcycle 5 days a week regardless of the weather conditions (except snow/ice) but I am not a "biker". "Bikers" are fags. Kilton and I are going to get all-electric bikes and cruise the HOV lane flipping everybody off on the way, right buddy?
