I went a couple months ago and the houses were still standing...barely. If I remember correctly, the house closest to the C&O bike path just past marker 10 had a construction sign on it.

Its off of Cedar Lane in Vienna. Coming from Electric Ave down Cedar, you would turn right onto Wedderburn (I think) and you will see the houses at the bend of the road.

The houses are still there, but theres nothing scary about them.

Since it is holiday time, I wouldnt suggest going there since the police are well aware of its existence.

Andrea's directions are right, and Wedderburn is the correct street name. I was told about a year ago that the houses had been removed.

Here is a website about it.

I live in Vienna probably 2 miles from there. I went there once with a friend, we were walking by when these 2 black dogs came barking at us, but then the owner (who lived in one of the houses) came out to see what we were doing lol. She was actually very nice. Not a midget, sort of short and ...plump though. No midgets though, sorry!

Stopped by there about 2 weeks or so ago, they had the smaller road closed off with a rope or chain but the buildings are still there.

I took my kids out there over the summer and it was still there, but the property is slated to be sold and developed. When I was younger with newfound driver's licenses, we used to drive down there at around midnight honking and yelling "Go to sleep midgets!! It's past your bedtime!!" Good times.

That urban legend has been around for decades. It's up there with the Bunnyman Bridge in Fairfax Station.
