Young woman (student) hit at Campus Drive across from NOVA Loudon

Is there any news on the woman who ran across the road and was hit by a car on Route 7? I was a witness to the accident when she got hit. She was a young black female with a yellow shirt with white pants. She was not moving at the scene when I stopped to help.

Yes, I was in traffic along that route. She didn't make it, and now there's a chalk outline of her on the road. Thanks for stopping by and helping hero. Next time do more than stand around scratching your balls.

Here's the report on this accident...

Car strikes pedestrian on Route 7 Thursday, Jun. 2 by Laura Peters | 3 comments | Email this story 0ShareAn Ashburn woman was hit by a car on Route 7 the evening of June 1.

Kiera Small, 20, was trying to cross the westbound lanes Route 7 near Campus Drive in Sterling when she was struck by a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix.

According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Small tried to cross although the traffic light was green for westbound traffic on Route 7.

Small was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital, and her injuries are non-life threatening, according to authorities.

The incident is still under investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit, and no charges have been made.
