I heard on the police scanner it was the return of Pam E Kay Donuts from Fairfax City back in the day, with a complete donut factory and store.

I walked past that intersection not too long ago after dropping my car off at KCs. The volume of traffic noise was pretty high. I cannot imagine that is going to be a nice place to live.
BTW, does anyone know what was located there before? I walked through that property a few years ago and there was an old shed with some type of machine in it. The machine had been stripped down and I could not tell what it was. There were also a lot of shrubs in plastic containers (like what you would see at a nursery) that had obviously been there for years. I also noticed that there is a lot of broken up concrete that they dug up during construction, but when I checked the old aerial photos I could not see any obvious signs of buildings.

Yep. Definitely looks like there will eventually be 5 houses there...
The two they have built are actually pretty ugly. The location is horrible. The traffic there is horrendous. I can't wait to see how much they put them on the market for.

They are the ugliest houses I have ever seen in this area. The shingles, roofs, windows, colors...No one has moved in yet, and they already look haunted.

I posted the pics, That was the construction of Burke and Burke Lake Rd in the early 80's Before that the roads ran and crossed the tracks, The Burke Lake Road crossing is still there, the Burke Rd crossing is gone less the footprint if you know what your looking for. If you look at the area today you will see the Propane Tank for the Train Tracks, but the tree line in the first pic is the break between the LBCA Property and where the houses are built now. I took the first two, The Old train would run in the Fall and Weekends. My Mother took the rest as the construction happened.

it may have been then, I am slowly loosing my mind. LOL I did have my 85 F150 so yeah 86/87 would be right. I got stuck driving down the road before it was paved. I posted the pics because on the other thread someone asked what was there before. This is the best I could come up with before the road bed was raised 25 feet. I have 1 more but its lost in my somewhat 80,000 pictures that are either Digital or scanned from prints, the construction was scanned from slides my mother had that I found when she passed away a few years ago.. Road construction still takes forever, just look at 95 and the hot lanes. When they did the first alignment it was only 1 lane each way, took a few years to add the second lane, unless I am mistaken.

If I recall correctly, the original asking price was close to a million in July of 2014. So it took them 8 months and 10 months to sell those first two.
