I went to a viewing of the new film 'Fast 5' or Fast and the Furious 5. Now the movie was cool, just a bunch of physic defying stunts and all that. There was a decent amount of spanish spoke in the film but what amazed me was the amount of mexicans at the theatre! The 11pm, 12pm and 1 am IMAX (which i saw) and the 1:15am shows all sold out! Mostly hispanics. Where do all these people come from? Like why do they congregate at tysons. I was almost embarrassed to be surrounded by that company while enjoying the ridiculousness

We had a coyote get us across the border and drive us here to watch the fast and furioso. There are no imax theaters in mejico.

I could tell my theater was full of hispanics. There was a loud roar of laughter after those 2 spanish members of the crew were cracking jokes and there was no subtitles.
I think most of them have caught on that big spoilers and cars covered in stickers isn't cool....well ever.

It's called Northern Virginia. In case you haven't noticed the area's population is very diverse and we have all kinds of ethnic groups. One of them being white trash like you (although based on your nick you might be african-american in which case it will be gangster wannabe). In any case, I hope you are able to find an area that suits you better like Alabama, Idaho, Georgia, or South Carolina, but still you are bound to find diversity everywhere you go. Am i the only person that seems to believe that this is so racist that it isnt even funny. the reason there was a large portion of the hispanic community there was simply because, i don't know, maybe that was the intended audience. if you make a movie about people smashing up expensive cars in central america you can expect a larger portion of this hispanic population to be interested in it. that is mainly because of the central america part, not the fast cars part. i happen to be white and i thought the fast cars were beast.
so, i know Fairfax Underground (appropriately initialed FU) isnt exactly the cleanest site on the internet but i would appreciate it if these sorts of things were put in the off-topic section, mainly because this is something that happenned in every movie theatre in the country. i saw this personally at Centreville multiplex, and i saw it on the news happening in california, it isnt a fairfax county thing

I don't live in this state and haven't for for years, i was just surprised as to how many hispanics were at that movie theatre. the 1030, 11pm, midnight and 1 am shows all sold out, and i watched the line and the people in it while at tgi fridays or whatever bar is right there, and the majority of the people were hispanic. i never used the word 'immigrant' or anything that could be misconstrued as terribly racist.
