Hire a lawyer. If you do it wrong you are going to be SOL, and you can't sue someone from FFU for giving you bad legal advice.
One thing that you should be aware of is that you will be required to post a bond in order to appeal the case. They don't give you new trials in eviction actions simply because you didn't like the result. No idea how much the bond amount would be, but it likely will be well above the amount your landlord says you owe in back rent. If you are just getting tossed for late payment of rent you might want to call the landlord to find out how much it would take for them to drop the eviction. It might be cheaper.
