Hong Kong Express-Burke-To Eat or Not?

There's a new Chinese restaurant in Burke called Hong Kong Express. Its located in the same shopping center as Walmart on the Burke Ctr Pkwy/Roberts Road area. Anyone been here? I see it looks busy during lunch time, but would like to know if anyone here would recommend it or know what the prices are? Thanks for help on this.

Not too bad - - most "express"-type Chinese restaurants are pure crap. This one is clean and efficient, and the food is pretty good. No language problems/misunderstandings either. I suspect they are real Hong Kong Chinese.

If by "new" you mean "last summer", then yes, it's new.

It's not bad, especially for the price/speed. In Burke I'm a little more partial to Tau Tau.

Been there a few times - nice enough. Food isn't what Ho's Dynasty used to have (not so great anymore) but better than some others in the area. What also impressed me was the guy working the counter in a frenzy. The place was full and carry out orders kept coming in and this guy multitasked like a champ - I just sat and watched while I waited for my pickup order.

Good value with the dinner combinations but not the greatest. However, ever since Ding How in springfield closed, don't have a greatest around so pretty good for lots of variety for not so much money but nothing amazing but I don't know of anything amazing anywhere so why not? It's a franchise or multiple locations, yes? Saw it somewhere else so m/b that's a good sign at least.

Painting the house, so I'm going there tomorrow for take-out. I'll report in.

I agree with Duh, winning. Tau Tau is better, but for the price on a Tuesday night, it's pretty good.

what about DuckWu? anyone ordered from there yet? We were gonna place an order at 2 yestrday for a shitload of sushi just to try it all out and they're only open from 4-9 on mondays. If youre in Burke, then u def gotta menu in the mail. Jasmine Garden in Merrifield has some awesome sushi.
TauTau's pretty good.
I rate chinese take out by how good their the Kung-Pao Chicken is. must have 65/35 of chicken to veggies..with decent amount of peanuts.

Hong Kong Express also has another location on Columbia Pike. Family run, good food, a little $ than some others but worth it.

Haven't been to Hong Kong Express.

For Chinese in Burke, I highly recommend Hunan West in the Kings Park Shopping Center. Carry out or delivery. Clean, pleasant atmosphere inside for dining in, and consistently high quality dishes.
