U.S. flag next to Korean flag

Traveling west on 50 just before FFX Co. Pwy at a Korean church on the right stands a Korean flag at equal height - side by side with Old Glory. Pisses me off.

I remember giving the Greenway people hell over their Italian flag bullshit every time I saw it. They pulled the same garbage.

That angered me when I read your post, but I looked up the US Flag Code, and it sounds like it's OK...

"When flown with the national banner of other countries, each flag must be displayed from a separate pole of the same height. Each flag should be the same size. They should be raised and lowered simultaneously. The flag of one nation may not be displayed above that of another nation in time of peace."

Is the American flag upside down? That's how La Raza does it.

Korea is a major democratic US ally and Koreans are the kindest and most polite people you'll ever meet. It takes a lot of fortitude to live in a foreign land, there are so many challenges you can't even imagine without having to deal with disrespect. I know because I'm an American citizen living in Korea. Please show them the respect that they show me as a foreigner in their land - they are quite rightfully as proud of their country as we are of ours. Being a stranger in a strange land has been a serious eye-opener for me and I have been left humbled and and awed by the warmth and kindness they have shown me here. Koreans love America and Americans so please don't do anything to show us in a bad light.
Many thanks --Martin

You sir are a fool to be upset with arbitrary pieces of fabric that are SUPPOSED to represent certain geographical areas. Borders are not real and you are not special for falling under the random chance of being born in the geographical location that is called America. Fuck you, you ignorant douche.

Damn straight! How dare they dishonor a flag that represents Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion and the right to Private Property!

A handful (at most) of prolific posters on an obscure message board does not "full" make.

It does bother me that so many places these days fly the flag at night without proper lighting or in bad weather or just let it fly till it's in shreds. It may be a piece of fabric and we may be heading towards a one world order but the flag still symbolizes to me something that was good about this country and the lack of respect given it these days is troublesome to me.

I am the Commander of the General Brad Smith Chapter/Korean War Veterans Arizona. We fly the South Korean Flag along side our American Flag. We fought and died together so that your opinions could be voiced. We have Koreans as members that fought in the ROK military. We are as proud of them as they are of us. I hope that those voiceing negative opinions were in the military and had a chance fight for their flag.

why does it piss you off you fucking narrow minded self isolationist? As long as it's flown at equal height and in equal size it's ok! The US flag is flown alongside other countries flags outside of international organizations and in other countries on military installations.

Actually, it pisses me off too. As long as Obama is the "president, the U.S. flag should always be flown lower than any other flag.

That is no Korean flag, that is a puppet of the US Imperialists! There should be a DPRK flag there!

Lots of places don't bother to light the U.S. flag after dark I thought lighting the flag at night was considered the proper method of display or take it down at night

It's funny really, the parasitic aian immigrant scum boasting about getting their kids into an American school. If they are so fukking brilliant, why aren't they getting their kids in a school in korea? Why are they here and not in korea? And why is north korea such a backwards cesspool?
