Another tint question

I wanted to get my front windows tinted because the rear windows have factory tint and it looks odd without it

I looked into legal VA tint which barely makes a difference. One step more (50% I believe) still allows you to see in but is slightly darker.

I was wondering what the risk is of putting this on. I know FFX Cops enforce tint laws but I am wondering if they typically only enforce against really dark tint? Does anyone out there have "Slightly" illegal tint? And if so have you ever been pulled over and ticketed and how often?

I 'm trying to decide if its worth the hassle. Thanks.

Save yourself the hassle and $$$ get the legal tint. There's a lot of cops around here w/out much to do looking to collect revenue. Just check the arrest/ticket database

Not worth it unless you really want that certain look for your car, and then you have to deal with the tickets.

One ticket in 5 - 6 years for 35% tint on front windows, and that was from a motorcycle Va. state trooper.

I had dark(er) tint on my cars for the past 7 years. Never got pulled with 20% on my SUV that matched the 20% factory tint on the rear windows...I have 25% all the way around on my Mazda3 now and I've been pulled twice within a week by County. Guess it's hit or miss.

CARS ARE BETTER TARGETS BECAUSE PIGS KNOW YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE
CARS WORTH OF TINT. AS OPPOSED TO JUST REPLACING TWO WINDOWS ON AN SUV.

I got pulled over in FFX twice for my custom 35%. After the 2nd time I gave up and had it removed.

I have been pulled over probably 5 or 6 times for tint in 2 different cars. It's a hit or miss but if your car is customized your chances are higher and if you are in ffx county. Now my car is bone stock but I still have the tint on and I never get bothered about it.

ive been wondering is tinting now a secondary offence, like they cant pull you over for the reason, they would have to get you for speeding and then bring that up. just wondering since i have 20% tint and havent been pulled over yet (knock on wood) but my friend who owned the car previously did.
