I live in LoCo and there have been strong rumours that PVI is moving out to the South Riding area very soon and builing a new facility. The Diocese would sell that land in Fx to fund the new school, with state of the art sports complex.
Is there any truth to those rumors?

Very good idea. While they're at it, they should rename the school, get rid of the entire administration, all the teachers, and burn the official records, especially anything have to do with Fa. Lyle, leather bondage, or Spielberg relatives.

Paul VI is the affordable alternative where parents send their students to avoid public schools, but there are more drugs, alcohol and sex at Paul VI than all the public schools. However, it makes the parents feel better about their blissfully clueless motivations.

i'm a current student and we have a really bad rep right now, but i love PVI so so so much and i couldn't be happier. and trust me im not a spoiled rich kid or a druggie. just a normal HS girl. if she wants to go, you should let her! it's the best thing my parents have ever done for me. i begged them to go and im glad i got what i wanted, and theyre glad they caved

I go to pvi now and the school has its pros and cons. I went to public school up until the 10th grade. PVI is the cliquiest place I have ever been, everyone talks to like the same 20 kids everyday. 90% of the lax team is douche bags who think they run the school. I guess the education is decent. The teachers are either super cool or completely awful. None as bad as the computer science teacher. I Regret transferring but i am glad that I still only hang with public school kids on the weekend.

"Muhammad" actually didn't even make a threat. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's like saying "I hope the such-and-such chokes on a Jelly Bean" (though a lot uglier).
There's a very distinct difference between that and "I'm going to cram Jelly Beans down such-and-such's throat until they choke".
And yes, the difference is a lot more than a minor technicality. Before we start charging people with crimes over comments like "I hope you die", it's important that we get the semantics right.

To answer your question - 0. The kids and parents have been notified, there was a bomb sweep over the weekend. No threat found. But P.M should know better. The kid who recently shot up a mall in southern VA posted about it online. So of course this kind of thing will be taken seriously.

I went to PVI and it was the best place for me. People make it seem like it is a huge druggie and sex ridden school, but there are students like that everywhere. The teachers really care about there students in a way that public school teachers never will. It is a great school. everyone else is kidding themselves.

Fairfax City Police have identified and interviewed the man behind a series of online posts saying Paul VI Catholic High School would be the scene of a "massacre" similar to the Boston Marathon Bombings. But an investigation has found the threats have "no nexus to terrorism," officials said Friday.
The poster, who calls himself "Prophet Mohammed," praised the alleged Boston Marathon bombers in a thread on the Fairfax Underground website last week, before posting a message that read "Inshallah, Paul VI High School will be the scene of another massacre. Allahu akbar!"
Sgt. Kyle Penman of the Fairfax City Police said in an e-mail to Patch on Friday his department's investigation "has found no nexus to terrorism and the threat was determined to be a hoax."
Though the suspect has not been arrested at this point, Penman said "the facts are being reviewed by the Commonwealth Attorney's Office for a determination if prosecution is warranted."
The department is not releasing the suspect's name at this time.

Paul VI was a horrible school. The social atmosphere was horrendous. I use to be an asshole and put wonderful kids down for no reason solely because i would look "cool"in front of the "popular" kids. I infiltrated the system and got head and had sex with some of the finest girls in all of Northern Virginia. Besides that, the school blew mad dick. Teachers were up your ass every second. I got detention too many times for "improper uniforms". It was cool tho because all my friends were rich and would buy an excessive amount of drugs and alcohol for us to entertain ourselves before and after school, during school events. We would sneak into dances and drown ourselves in alcohol. I will never go back to Paul VI ever again.

My son applied to that school and thank god they rejected my kid....their ap offerings for h.s. Don't start till 11th grade and even then there aren't that many. I wasn't impressed by the faculty or the kids very much and applied only because of my son. Paying that much money for that wasn't worth it to me and I'm glad my sons school in all likelihood tanked his recommendation....best thing they did for us...LOL! In fact one of my kids teacher whose kid goes there did so badly apparently the parent is pulling the child to put her/him in public...and not even a remotely good one...jokes on the teacher.. I'm super happy about PVI but they don't seem to have bus svc......

ic and a Christian literally means nothing to this so called "Catholic School". They recruit athletes from whereever they can find them and no matter what their character may be (mostly non-catholics) and they bench very athletic catholic kids for non-catholic athletic kids on full scholarships that enjoy plenty of alcohol, drugs and special priviledges. These kids bring their "culture" with them and into the school while the so called caring admninistrators look the other way.
*By the end of first quarter of freshman year most of the kids are drinking and smoking weed and the administrators ignore it for the most part. Not many virgins to speak of in this school and the kids that are deemed popular are the kids drinking, smoking weed and having sex and multiple hook-ups on a regular basis. Many of the parents at the school actually openly serve minors alcohol.. and not all, but most at the whole school think they are untouchable. If you have your daugther go to this school, get prepared for enormous peer pressue to fit into this culture and a bunch of bullshit politics.

When he came to school at all, "Spielberg" (born Anoushirvan D. Fakhran) drove a blue BMW. The Principal at PVI at the time (2000) was Rev. John Lyle. He had no more luck than officials at GMU or NVCC had before him in detecting Spielberg's true identity.

This school is a total mess. I'm a freshman here, and it's full of spoiled rich kids, lazy teachers, and bully teachers as well. There are a couple diamonds in the rough here, but not many. I have seen some evidence of possible drug use, but nothing conclusive yet. And Mr. McGroarty is the biggest jerk of them all. Bullies kids even when they haven't done anything wrong (though he makes it look like they have). This school is messed up.
